Nanterre’s Bibbins Looked Like A Kid Against Wembanyama

If you think you have seen the best of Wembanyama, then you must be head over heels. The lad keeps displaying never seen skills and techniques no doubt GSW’s Stephen Curry referred to him as the “2K Cheat Code.” Whenever you think he can’t do it, he does it.

All hail his height. The 19-year-old stands at 7’4” and boasts an 8-foot wingspan!
This distinguishes him on the court and he is more of an alien than he is a unicorn in LeBron James’s words.

Victor is the number one projected pick in the 2023 NBA draft set for June 22, 2023, and fans can’t wait to see where he lands.

The buzz train around him is never-ending and it has been compared to that LeBron James garnered 20 years ago in 2003.

At the moment, Victor plays in France for Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A and there he keeps showing why he is the hotcake in the game right now.

Coached by Vincent Collet, the Wembanyama-led Metropolitans sit second in the LNB just behind Monaco with a game-to-season finale against Paris on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

This season’s campaign has been good for Victor who has been averaging 21.3 points, pulling down 10.0 rebounds, and blocking 2.7 shots per game. He appears to be on an upward trajectory, and the numbers are only expected to increase.

Wembanyama showed his mightiness when Metropolitans faced Nanterre 92 on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in one of the most spectacular displays of dominance ever witnessed by Wembanyama.

His explosive performance overpowered Nanterre’s in-court exploits scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists to propel his current team against his former team.

The game ended 82-72 in favour of Metropolitans 92 who had the best of Nanterre 92. Wembanyama dominated the game and his superiority was acknowledged when Nanterre’s point guard Justin Bibbins was left stunned by the 7’4” phenom.

In a recent tweet by Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92’s official Twitter account where a video of Justin guarding Wemby, the height difference is noticeable.

Justin who is 5 ‘8” couldn’t even catch the ball even if he wanted to against the 7 ‘4 ” Wembanyama.

Reacting to the clip Justin Bibbins tweeted,” No way I was guarding this post up” referring to Wembanyama’s massive height. His frustration could be seen as he didn’t stand a chance against the Frenchman.

Wembanyama continues to shine through, especially now that he is getting closer to being drafted into the NBA. With one game left on May 16, Wemby will have to miss the NBA Draft combine which is set to begin the same day.

His reputation however precedes him and missing out on the draft combine might not be a big factor in determining his NBA future come June 22.

It looks like Justin Bibbins won’t be the last person to be stunned as Wembanyama has all eyes set on the NBA. My advice to the NBA is … Get ready.
