Messi back in PSG training and suspension LIFTED after groveling apology

Lionel Messi has resumed training at Paris Saint-Germain following the early termination of his two-week suspension.

Managers at the French club sanctioned the Argentine after he skipped last Monday’s training session in favor of a pre-existing obligation to the Saudi tourist board. Messi’s absence is said to have surprised his teammates, who had just suffered a humiliating defeat to Lorient 24 hours before.

Following the triumph, they were granted the day off, but Messi was spotted returning to their training camp. And, according to RMC via GFFN, his public apology has pleased PSG executives, and his suspension has been revoked. He is expected to rejoin the team on Tuesday and could play this weekend.

On Friday evening, Messi broke his quiet to apologize to his employers, releasing a video on his social media platforms. “I thought we were supposed to have a day off after the game.” I had planned this vacation and was unable to cancel it. I had previously canceled it.

“I apologize to my teammates and await what the club wants to do with me.”

In the short term, Messi is likely to return to PSG action, but it is now almost inevitable that he will leave the French capital at the conclusion of the season. Initially agreed to a two-year contract following his traumatic departure from Barcelona, it was thought the agreement would be extended beyond this summer.

However, as Mirror Football exclusively reported last month, with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi attempting to make the club more financially sustainable, enthusiasm for renewing Messi’s contract has dramatically cooled.

Barcelona is trying to obtain a fantastic return for its greatest-ever player, but their financial situation makes any potential transfer extremely unlikely. However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has done nothing to quell rumors, hinting at a possible reunion in the near future.

“He [Messi] has the doors of Barça open,” Laporta told the Joe Pomp show last month. “He knows that. He’s part of our emblem. Messi is a player of PSG and I have to be careful what I say. I have to respect his club and respect him. Messi knows that we have Messi in our heart, Messi is part of our blood.

“I need to find a way to improve this relationship between Messi and FC Barcelona. We will see. Right now he is a PSG player.”

Apart from the La Liga giants, Messi is said to have received MLS proposals from both Saudi Arabia and Inter Miami.

Cristiano Ronaldo is already earning a world-record £173 million per year in the Saudi Pro League. Still, Al-Hilal is willing to reset the market with a contract worth roughly £10 million per year.

According to new rumors, the Saudi club is seeking to persuade the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner by signing ex-Blaugrana teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. Messi’s representatives have stated that a decision will not be made until the end of the season.
