Avolta AG, a pioneering force in curating global travel experiences, has inked an impressive nine-year deal to manage no fewer than 26 food and beverage outlets at the city’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

This ambitious undertaking by Swiss-based travel and hospitality specialists promises to elevate the airport’s culinary offerings to unprecedented heights. It will transform it into a flavorful oasis for jet setters embarking on their Turkish escapades and transit passengers alike.

Avolta President Luis Marin said: “It is a privilege to play a role in the development of Sabiha Gökçen Airport and we are delighted to build on the success of our existing F&B and travel retail partnerships … In line with Avolta’s Destination 2027 strategy, we have equipped the dining venues with traveler-centric technological solutions, including pre-ordering, order kiosks and other innovative solutions like Your Order Please, a QR-based ordering and payment platform, allowing us to meet our guests’ needs in innovative ways…”

Among the 26 dining establishments slated to grace the airport’s concourses is a sumptuous modern reinterpretation of a classic Turkish kahvehane (coffeehouse). This opulent lounge will serve as an ideal setting to savour the celebrated Turkish coffee accompanied by an assortment of delicious regional sweets and savoury delights.

A masterful blend of traditional Turkish cuisine and inspired global flavours will grace the menus, allowing patrons to sample culinary treasures that extend far beyond the typical terminal fare.

For those seeking an immersive cultural experience before their departures, Avolta has curated an enticing menu of culinary demonstrations and tastings. Skilled artisans will reveal the secrets behind iconic Turkish delicacies like the perfectly flaky baklava and the beloved kebab. Passengers can indulge their senses while absorbing the rich heritage woven into every bite.

With Avolta’s presence, Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport is poised to elevate the travel experience to new heights. This culinary concept will provide an unforgettable prelude to the cultural feasts that await explorers of Istanbul.
