All You Need to Know About the Chocolate Sculpture of King Charles III

It took nearly four weeks to design the bust, which weighs more than 23 kg. The image of King Charles III in profile, which will soon adorn the fronts of UK banknotes, was sculpted by a group of skilled chocolatiers and model makers.

King Charles’ upcoming coronation attire was also used as a basis for the figure. Celebrations chocolate boxes that were purchased in England were used to create the entire sculpture.

The bust’s flavor profile is considerably more fascinating than it would be if it were just covered with sweet chocolate since different chocolates from the box made up the various components of the confection.

The professionals that created the bust utilized Twix bars, Milky Way, Galaxy, and Bounty Celebrations chocolates for the epaulets and decorative shoulder parts. The collar of the new king is made of the renowned chocolate candy Maltesers Teasers.

Snickers are used as decorations on Charles’ medals on the chocolate version of his chest. Jennifer Lindsey Clarke, a chocolatier, was one of the key specialists behind the famous design. The figure was made, according to the Mirror, by melting about 2,875 Celebrations candies.

Senior brand manager for Celebrations Emily Owen stated that

“the team studied hours of footage of the King to capture his true likeness, and the resemblance is uncanny.”

In her words,

“Celebrations are all about bringing people together, and we are thrilled to be sharing this occasion with so many chocolate lovers up and down the country.” The King’s bust will be on display at the Slough headquarters of Mars Wrigley UK.

Celebration ordered the bust for the unique occasion. In addition, the business plans to release a limited-edition coronation tub prior to the King’s formal throning.

For those who don’t know, King Charles will be crowned on May 6 at Westminister Abbey. Charles will become the monarch following the ceremony, having waited for the longest of any king to ascend to the throne more than 70 years to lead the kingdom.
