Do you know the actor who starred in Rush Hour with Chris Tucker? Yes, the other guy, Jackie Chan. Ling Feng Jiao is his wife. Even Though she shot into global fame after becoming Jackie Chan’s wife, one of the world’s most famous actors she is a very successful Taiwanese actress of her standing her acting originality.

They met at the height of their careers and went out for a while before making it official and getting married in 1982 the same year their son Jaycee Chan was born.

2.  Lin Feng is an award-winning actress

Many of the movies she starred in were based on novels that were adapted into movies written by Chiung Yao, who is a Taiwanese writer as well as producer.

She started acting at the age of 19 years old when she features in a kung fu martial movie, the Hero of Chiu Chow or Hero of Waterfront.  Her popularity grew in the 70s and 80s when she became famous in movies such as the Story of a Small Town where many of her fans praised her for her performance in the film.

Lin acted as a mute young woman in the romantic film. She was one of the four famous Taiwanese women alongside Charlie Chin, Chin Han, and Brigitte Lin, who were addressed superbly as “Two Lins, Two Chins”

Ling Feng was born on 30^th June 1953 and her parents’ identity remains unknown. She grew up with four of her siblings and is the second child of her parent’s five kids. She confesses that growing up was hard as they grew up in abject poverty and this led her to drop out of school due to lack of fees.

Having dropped out of School due to her parents’ lack of funds, she saw her way out of poverty through acting. Her debut film in 1972, The Hero of Chiu Chow, introduced her to the acting world.

It was seven years later when she reached the heights of magnificence in her emotional performance as a mute young girl in The Story of a Small Town that she won the Best Leading Actress role in the 16^th Golden Horse Awards.

While most actors continue to act in and out of character even while out of setting by courting outrageous scandals and controversies, Joan Lin hated the limelight while out on the set and laid low when she got married to Jackie Chan and had a son.

She came into the limelight again in 1999 when gore details and rumors of her husband having an affair with Elaine Ng and getting pregnant.  The media speculated that would be the end of the marriage but she opted to forgive Jackie Chan and save their marriage. 

15 years later in 2014, the limelight again was shoved into her when her son Jaycee was arrested in Beijing by the police for drug possession. Later Jaycee apologized and promised her mother that he would mend his ways through a 3-page remorseful heart pouring letter.
