GuruWalk, a global community of local walking tour guides evaluated booking and search data for 800 cities across 120 countries to come up with the list. Rome topped the list, with Budapest coming in second. The rest of the cities are Barcelona, Madrid, Florence, Lisbon, Prague, Amsterdam, London, and Porto in that order.
Lisbon’s presence on the list speaks volumes about the city’s pedestrian-friendly qualities. Its maze of charming neighborhoods, like Alfama and Bairro Alto, are perfect for getting lost in and discovering hidden gems.
