Aer Lingus has officially announced direct flights from Dublin Airport to Las Vegas, fulfilling a long-anticipated dream. Starting from October 25, the airline will operate three flights a week, offering convenient travel options until April 29, 2025. With fares starting from just €499 return, including taxes and charges, these flights are now on sale.
Lynne Embleton, CEO of Aer Lingus, expressed her excitement, stating, “It is a long-held ambition of ours to fly to Las Vegas. The launch of this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers.”
The inaugural flight, EI50, will depart at 15.20 and arrive at Harry Reid International Airport at 17.50 local time. The return flight will depart at 19.35 and arrive back in Dublin at 13.10 the following day. These flights will be operated on a wide-body Airbus A330-300, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience.
Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus to Las Vegas for the very first time. This direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travellers and visitors throughout Europe to discover everything Las Vegas has to offer.”
This new direct route marks a significant shift, as it eliminates the need for connecting flights via other hubs, reducing the travel time to approximately 10 hours. Beyond the renowned attractions of Las Vegas, including its resorts, casinos, and iconic Strip, the city has expanded its offerings to include sports and entertainment events, such as the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix and Super Bowl LVIII. This development will surely enhance the travel experience for Irish visitors and European travellers seeking a thrilling and unforgettable Las Vegas adventure.
Aer Lingus has scheduled its winter route to coincide with both this year’s October mid-term and the 2025 Easter holidays. Irish tour operators such as American Holidays, Tour America, American Sky, and Sunway are likely to offer package deals that include direct flights and hotel accommodations.
This new route is part of Aer Lingus’ recent expansion in transatlantic flights. The airline has just started flying to Denver, Colorado, and the twin cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul in Minnesota. Additionally, last year, it added a service to Cleveland, Ohio and resumed its Hartford, Connecticut service.
With existing routes to cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, LA, Seattle, Orlando, and Miami, Aer Lingus now offers 19 transatlantic services from Dublin and Shannon, along with three from Manchester to North America and Barbados. source; Irish Independent
