The Asian Film Festival began on April 10 and will run until April 17, marking an eventful eight days of film. For a full week, the event will allow the screening of full movies and short films produced in each of the above-mentioned countries. This is to put these nations on the global map in the film industry and boost viewership around the world.
The Asian Film Festival has been one of the best twenty-first-century events that bring together people in the film industry from Asian countries. This is the opportunity to dive into the history and culture of the Asian people and understand their way of life through film.
Held at the Arthouse Cinema Farnese, the 2024 Asian film festival brings together countries such as Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines. However, there is a new arrival in the event this year as the event organizers welcomes Nepal and Mongolia to the festival for the first time.
According to Romeing, the event will run from early morning to late evening showing both the latest films from well-known directors but also some of the best first-time productions.
The event is open to the public, and therefore every film lover has a chance to be part of the eight-day event and meet some of their favorite film producers and actors from the Far East.
