‘I didn’t mean to do this’ Jenna Ortega Tears up!

To be honest, vulnerability is something that people in the world of fame and money do not have the luxury to express. Even so, Jenna Ortega, from the Netflix hit show Wednesday recently had a tear-jerking talk with another actress named Elle Fanning. Elle has been part of big projects such as Maleficent, All the Bright Places, The Neon Demon, The Great, among other projects.

Jenna Ortega, 20, and Elle Fanning, 25, were having an open discussion courtesy of Variety. The topics being discussed by the two included the pressure from social media which the two would constantly refer to it as being extremely “toxic.”

Jenna Ortega went further and called social media quite “manipulative” and shared that she is usually sarcastic; she stated that “Because I naturally tend to be sarcastic or dry, it’s very easy for me to find myself in trouble.”

The public generally enjoyed the discussions but The Wednesday was caught in a vulnerable position when she started crying and becoming emotional, “I want people to be able to get to know the people behind the camera and realize that people should never be put on a pedestal. And the more I’ve been exposed to the world, people prey on that and take advantage of that.”

She then starts to cry after stating, “They see your vulnerability and twist it in a way that you don’t always expect. [Begins to cry] It’s so strange. Sorry, I didn’t mean to do this.” ”I still have this really intense urge to be human and honest and authentic. Another thing about this industry is you get in front of a camera and people want you to be something else — where it’s ‘Have more energy’ or ‘Could you smile?”

The actress was evidently stressed by the whole experience of being famous and having to deal with the downside of being famous. She recently became famous after starring in the show, Wednesday as Wednesday Addams the teenager to the Addams family and we joined her as she solved a mystery involving her parents n Nevermore Academy and the monster terrorizing people. The show was released late November 2022 and since then she has been a star.

“I would rather people see me cry and do whatever than be something I’m not,” she concluded. It is evident that the 20 year old feels unseen, misunderstood and judged. She went over explaining how she would actually handle fame and frankly it’s not what she expected, clearly hinting that social media is not what she anticipated.

Fans went on social media writing heartfelt comments such as, “I feel so bad. She doesn’t deserve all the hate, she’s the sweetest person on earth. It hurts so much to see her cry,” another added, “OMG I feel so sad for her she actually deserves so much better, people are so judgmental nowadays, it’s so sad and something we should be ashamed of.”

It is evident that Jenna Ortega’s emotional encounter with Elle Fanning that eventually led to tears has definitely created a lasting impression on the entertainment industry most especially to both their fans. Fans hope that once the tears stopped flowing, the weight of their shared talk fades.

Celebrities all have their highs and lows; it’s the price for living in the spotlight. As Jenna Ortega becomes open with her vulnerability has brought her closer to her fans. Jenna’s tears are a representation of her genuineness and have educated fans on the need for comprehension and to fight the false narratives that we may find on social media platforms.
