Le Swing Vintage

€€

When you come to Barcelona, I imagine you really want to find and check out those one-off, unique places/shops that you can only find in the Catalan capital. Le Swing Vintage is one of those.

This shop is a one-off boutique, in the El Born neighborhood, that sells a wide range of second-hand designer and high-end accessories and clothes.

If you are into more of the ’50s and 60’s vintage era then you will be in heaven when you get here. Classic styles sunglasses, long flowery lace dresses and everything in between.

A little word of warning for you fellas, there isn’t a whole load of men’s clothes and accessories for sale, this one is mainly for the ladies.

Location: Carrer dels Lledó 4-6 08002 Barcelona
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00

Flamingo

€€

What’s better than just buying one or two vintage clothes items? How about a kilo of vintage clothes? Yeah, you read that right, Flamingo is a kilo vintage shop where you can bulk buy.

A worldwide brand, Flamingos has stores all over the planet, and you can find 5 of their stores in Barcelona, more than anywhere else.

A simple concept really that you’ve probably heard of before.
You go in, stack up the items you like and you pay for what your bag weighs. Or you can select whether you would like to purchase a kilo of a certain style or item. E.g. A kilogram of jeans, or a kilogram of 70’s clothes.

You can find the shops on, Carrer de Tallers (2), Ferlandina, Gallery Barcelona and Avinyo.

Location: Carrer dels Tallers, 31, 08001 Barcelona – Carrer de Ferlandina, 20, 08001 Barcelona – Carrer d’Avinyó, 21, 11, 08002 Barcelona
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday from 11:00 – 21:00.

Holala Vintage

€€

A vintage clothes shop that stocks, Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galiano, Domenico Dolce, Eddie Slimane, G Star, Diesel, Replay, H&M, Energy Miss Sixty, and more? Yes, please!

With three stores in Barcelona and another in Ibiza, Holala Vintage stocks vintage clothes designed from countries across the globe, including, Japan and USA.

For the last 27 years, Holala Vintage has been a staple in Barcelona vintage shopping for both locals and tourists.
They put upcycling and re-usability at the forefront of their mission statement and that is the feeling you get when you go to one of their stores.

Location: Cl. Riera Baixa 11, Bcn – Cl. Tallers 73, Bcn – Cl. Valldonzella 6, Bcn
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday from 11:00 – 21:00.

Humana

Another chain of a vintage shop on the list. Throughout Barcelona, you will see a Humana on practically every street in the city centre.

Humana isn’t technically a pure vintage shop, it’s more a charity shop, but you do often find a lot of vintage clothes in their stores and for a very, very cheap price.

A lot of the time you will see clearance sales with everything in the shop being sold for 5€, or if not that, as low as 1€.

The few Humana’s I have been in, they have mostly stocked woman’s clothes, they do usually have a couple of racks of men’s clothes but nowhere near the number of men’s clothes compared to the women’s.

Location: Carrer de Roger de Llúria, 9, 08010 Barcelona (Many more shops found across the city.)
Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 – 21:00.

El Flea

I’m a big fan of El Flea, I’ve mentioned this second-hand market in a few posts before but that’s for good reason.

It fits perfectly into this article for one, but also, El Flea has a lot of vintage and second-hand clothes on sale, and you can pick up some absolute bargains.

The market happens on the first Sunday of every month, in the district of Poble sec, and is a staple in Barcelona’s shopping culture.

Just last month I managed to buy a lovely pair of Levi Jeans for around a fiver. There are several vintage clothes stalls that set-up there every month and you can often negotiate on some of those prices.

Location: Plaça de Blanquerna, 08001 Barcelona
Opening Hours: Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.

Paella Showroom

€€

Now, Paella Showroom is a bit different from the other shops on this list. Think of it as more of a concept store which houses fashion, art, and design items.
They market themselves as a different shopping experience and it certainly is. So even if you’re not in the shopping mood it is very much worth checking out anyway.

Probably the best thing about Paella Showroom though is that everything you see when you visit this store has been designed, created and produced by local artists.

This by no means, is the only independent boutique vintage store in the city but this particular shop is up there with the best of them. No questions.
There’s just an essence of cool about this store and that hits you as soon as you take your first step through the front door.

Location: Calle sant Pere mes alt 4808003 Barcelona
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:30.

Mercat dels Encants

Another vintage market on this list, and probably the most popular one in the whole of Barcelona.
Mercat dels Encants is open 4 days of the week and you can find much of the same stuff that you can at El Flea, just there’s so much more of it, with a few extra things thrown in there for good measure.

From old antique furniture to CD’s and books, this market is a multi-story vintage shoppers heaven. With the size, comes a unique sense of organised chaos as soon as you step foot in the place.

Restaurants on the top floor and piles of books, antiques, and toys on the ground of the bottom floor, you could easily spend hours here getting through all the items to find that one treasure.

Location: Carrer de los Castillejos, 158, 08013 Barcelona
Opening Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00.
