‘You’: What can we expect from season 5?

Netflix has stated that You will conclude in 2024 with the fifth and final season. The show will end after giving us four mind-blowing seasons. The announcement was announced by the official You Twitter account in a video clip that followed Joe, the star of the program, around various scenes while he narrated, “Well, hey there. Hi there, you. Hey there. Hi there, you. Joe Goldberg will return for YOU’s fifth and final season in 2024”, according to the tweet.

Towards the end of season 4, Joe has returned to New York and appears to be attempting to put his murderous activities in London behind him. But with “Rhys” resurfacing in the climactic scene and Joe accepting his killing instinct, it appears that he won’t be moving on at all. He’s now renowned thanks to Kate’s PR campaign, which should work out well for him since he can probably no longer get away with his messy, impulsive murders in his murderous basement with a cage.

The show’s actor Penn Badgley made it clear in a 2023 interview with IndieWire that he believes You has “should do another season.” He stated, “I feel that Joe needs to get what he’s due, and now he has further to fall because he has all this power and fortune.”  “But of course, that’s not up to me. I don’t know where it’s going. But to me, with this concept and with this character, we always wanted to be responsible and it’s not just the kind of thing we can let keep going because it’s doing well,” Badgely added.

In a statement, Gamble stated, “As I step back from day-to-day show running to focus on new projects, I’m immensely grateful to co-creator and all-around genius Greg Berlanti, Caroline Kepnes, my friends at Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment, and our steadfast partners at Warner Bros and Netflix. Making the show alongside our writers, producers, directors, cast and crew has been an honor and ridiculously fun.”

Honestly I loved season 4 both parts, the twists in was great and I enjoyed the way it took a dive into Joe’s dark mind and flipped over my expectations. I am absolutely speechless I can’t even imagine what season 5 would be about; all we can do is to predict. In regards to how many seasons there will be for the next season, chances are high that it will have 10 episodes since all the released four seasons released has 10 episodes each.

The show will most definitely return on Netflix exclusively, available to stream. Sadly, there is no trailer for You Season 5 as of now, but something is definitely on the works. I am not a scriptwriter, but

According to the season 4 finale, Joe seems hopeful that with Kate by hi side he has a shot at having a second chance and what makes this round a bit different is that he has a pool of resources. It is likely that the power couple will encounter a challenge considering his pattern in the previous seasons and let’s not forget that he tends to have a wandering eye.

The real question is, will he get away with all these murders? Overall, I think “You’s” fifth season will be another exhilarating and compelling viewing experience for any thriller fan.
