French Phenom Ranked In The Top 10 Of Most Viewed NBA Players
Victor’s shine couldn’t get brighter, the lad at 19 years old is already the IT in the basketball world. Victor is projected to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft set for June 22 and the world can’t wait any longer to see how he will play in the NBA.
The hype surrounding Wembanyama has been compared to that LeBron James got back in 2003 if not more.
With the NBA Draft lottery complete and the San Antonio Spurs sure of getting the first pick on June 22, they will be looking to get Wemby on their team that is for sure.
Victor has already conquered France playing for Metropolitans and leading them to a second-place finish in the LNB Pro A just behind Monaco leading the league by averaging 21.6 points per game with 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.1 blocks which shows how instrumental he is.
He is on the way to the USA with everyone expecting him to take over the NBA when he gets there and projected to join the Spurs, perhaps return them to their glory days.
Although it is up until June 22, 2023, that Victor will officially be an NBA player, Victor is already achieving milestones in the NBA before playing a single game.
On Tue May 11, 2023, the NBA released a list of the top 10 most viewed players on social media and to everyone’s surprise, Wembanyama’s name was included in it. Victor came in 8th two positions in front of Jordan Poole and Nikola Jokic.
The list comprised 10 players led by LeBron James who had 1.3 Billion views followed by Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Ja Morant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Kyrie Irving, Victor Wembanyama, Jordan Poole and Nikola Jokic who was 10th with 253 million views.
Seen by the list, Victor is the only player who is not an NBA league member yet but already being included in the list just shows how his star keeps shining.
Being one of the most viewed players comes with exposure and popularity and now that Victor’s talents are already out there for the world to admire, we can see why he is included on the list.
Standing at 7’4”, with an 8-foot wingspan, and shooting like a point guard at the arc, Victor is the holy grail in the game right now and his popularity is only expected to rise.
Going for all the records there was, Victor will surely surpass some players on the list coming in as new blood and if he wins an NBA championship, then LeBron James should be worried about his top position.
The reception Wembanyama is getting is positive and everyone is expecting him to be up and running once he gets to the NBA.
