Be a part of this special and unique fashion show in Rome’s Palatine Hills that started on April 24 and will run until July 21. The Rara Avis, also described as Fashion in Flight due to the bird theme, is a historic event that has brought together different garments from the world’s best fashion houses. These garments are on exhibit on the Palatine Hill, and members of the public, visitors, and tourists can visit any day and enjoy the view. From 9 am to 6 pm, you can pop in and enjoy the view.
As a visitor, you can marvel at Maria Grazia Chiuri’s majestic white swan dress that looks out of this world. Made by Christian Dior, this dress radiates elegance and grace.
Another highlight of the show and exhibition is the iconic Alexander McQueen’s black swan dress. In case you don’t know, this dress was originally designed for Givenchy.
On top of the two, there is also Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda with the rooster and pheasant feather corset dress. Or perhaps you would like the golden microdress with its ostrich wings, designed by Versace and famously won by the famous Katy Perry.
While the show is about clothing, there is something deeper: the multi-sensory experience. The venue, Farnese Aviaries, was also originally a home for exotic birds, which makes the exhibition more exciting. Every garment is a testament to men putting in the work to create masterpieces. You can access these exhibitions every day until July 21.
