Kimberly Noel Kardashian is a media personality, socialite, and businesswoman from the United States. She first gained media attention as Paris Hilton’s friend and stylist, but she gained wider attention after the sex tape Kim Kardashian, Superstar, which she shot in 2003 with her then-boyfriend Ray J, was released in 2007. Later that year, she and her family started appearing on the E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007–2021). Its popularity spawned the spin-off series Kourtney and Kim Take New York (2011-2012), Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (2009-2013), and Hulu’s The Kardashians (2022).

Kardashian entered the business world in 2006 when she and her two sisters opened the boutique shop DASH in Calabasas, California.

The Kardashian sisters (Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian) founded Dash, a boutique clothing and accessory chain, in 2006. The chain had three locations in the United States as of 2017. After 11 years of operation, all locations closed in April 2018.

2. She works with the prison reform and clemency advocacy

Kardashian has advocated for the commutation of the sentences of Chris Young and Alice Marie Johnson, a woman sentenced to life in prison for a first-time drug offense as the leader of a major cocaine ring in Tennessee. which President Donald Trump granted in June 2018.  She was instrumental in convincing President Trump to support the First Step Act, which enacted major reforms in the US prison system, along with Van Jones and Jared Kushner. Van Jones later stated that if Kardashian had not been present, the act would not have passed because it would not have received the president’s support. It was later passed by a large majority in the United States Senate.

Kardashian began working as a stylist for Paris Hilton, who was her childhood friend, in 2006. She appeared in several episodes of the reality series The Simple Life and was frequently photographed accompanying Hilton to events and parties. Sheeraz Hasan, a Hilton public relations strategist, had previously met Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner in 2005 and stated in the 2020 20/20 television special that Kardashian was “willing to do whatever it takes” to build a successful brand.

In the same interview, Rick Mendoza, a freelance photographer on assignment for the tabloid TMZ, stated that when Kardashian accompanied Hilton to Hyde, which was a Hollywood hotspot at the time, he continued to get assignments from tabloids to get photographs of Kardashian.

Kardashian paid $64,900 for three of Taylor’s jade bracelets at a Christie’s auction that same year.

Kim revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that her assistant used a handheld camera to film her wedding to Kanye at Forte di Belvedere in Italy.

“We had no intention of showing our wedding on the show,”

Kim admitted in 2014, adding that Kanye liked what they captured so much that they decided to include some of the footage in the season 9 finale.

If you thought Kim K’s reportedly brief marriage to Kris Humphries and her famous marriage to Kanye West was the extent of her ring collection, you were mistaken. She has been married three times! Kim married Damon Thomas, a music producer when she was 19 years old. Because of emotional and physical abuse, they divorced three years later.
