Why? Healthy – Vegan – Farm To Table

If you live for breakfast or brunch make a point of patronizing this joint. You will love it! Farm-to-Beach means that their food comes direct from local farms right to your plate at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. They use locally sourced, sustainable meats and produce which allows them to serve fresh, high quality food. Furthermore, they support local farmers and businesses. The Rooftop Lounge at Harvest is an experience not to miss, take in the fresh ocean air and unobstructed oceanfront views while sampling the menu and sipping some cold tipple. When in this stylish counter-service eatery featuring modern spins on American diner fare & a rooftop bar/lounge try their pancakes. They are not too fluffy or too flat and chewy and come with a tiny cup of strawberries and blueberries. Highly recommended are buffalo chicken, buffalo chicken sandwiches and quinoa salads always on offer. Furthermore, it should also be noted that they make good smoothies. My “Blazing Star” smoothie was nice and thick and not too sweet. Finally, the food at Harvest is très fab paired with their very attentive and friendly service making it a place worth ‘brunching in if visiting or even living in Virginia Beach.

Mango Mangeaux: A Simply Panache Bistro

10 Awesome Brunch Places in Virginia Beach, VA

Why? The restaurant offers a contemporary take on classic Creole dishes.

So why the unique spelling of mangeaux (which is pronounced mango)?  “Our cuisine is French creole and neo-soul,” part-owner Brown-Renfro explains. “The creole is the E-A-U-X and it makes the ‘O’ sound. We wanted to be able to differentiate the mango preserves from the bistro.”

This beautiful black owned eatery in Hampton presents more delicious ways to eat well and have fun with your family. From “Curby Cocktails” to cookies kids can decorate to a new game called dinner entree bingo, Mango Mangeaux is making sure a little cheer goes into every recipe. The portions are huge and the staff is professional and courteous. The French toast is done with actual French bread and will probably be the most delicious French toast you will ever have. The buttermilk pancakes were ginormous, and one order can be shared by two people.

CLTRE. | Vegan Joint

10 Awesome Brunch Places in Virginia Beach, VA

Why? A culturally immersive vegan breakfast & lunch joint · the best vegan waffles you’ll ever have!

It is a 100% plant-based deliciousness restaurant that services the breakfast/lunch crowd, offering gourmet sweet or savory waffles cranked up with delicious toppings, sandwiches & wraps, and an array of coffees, whole leaf teas & fresh fruit smoothies. CLTRE’s vegan waffles are made with spelt flour and oat milk. Spelt flour is ancient wheat that is higher in protein and has fewer calories than all-purpose flour. Patrons could enjoy a chill atmosphere with good food, conversation, and lively entertainment. The eatery has a cozy vibe that encourages you to stay a while as the warm, friendly atmosphere will make you decide to dine in instead of ordering to-go.
