Luckily for you, London has dozens of options that make it ideal for all-day food. Whether you want to have a cheeseburger at 3 in the morning or you want to have an English breakfast at 11pm at night, London has something for everyone. Okay, this might not be the typical “drunk” food, but Sushisamba is excellent for a late-night dinner, evening work meeting, or cocktails with friends that run late. Open until 1:30am, this restaurant at Bishopsgate offers fresh sashimi, mouthwatering wagyu, and crunchy taquitos that are the ideal midnight snack. We love the combination of fusion food here, ranging from traditional Peruvian dishes to light Japanese small plates.

Yay, a restaurant that’s open 24 hours! Fortunately For you, this is not few and far between in London. However, Duck and Waffle IS one of the best. Featuring traditional dishes, like a full fry up, tasty desserts, wagyu beef sliders, and decadent breakfast dishes, this 24-hour restaurant is the ideal spot to come after an overnight flight or for a late-night meal after a full day of traveling. For first-time visitors, we recommend trying the crispy duck leg – after all, you have to try its namesake!

Located in Soho, one of the best spots for going out in London, Balans is the perfect place to frequent after a full night of dancing and drinking in the bustling capital city. Open until 5 am, this eatery actually becomes MORE packed the later it gets. Whether you have an “early” night and head here at 1 am, or you took clubbing seriously, and you end up here at 4 am, there is always going to be a queue.

We recommend getting the Kerala curry to soak up the points and feel good about yourself in the morning — not only will it kick the hangover, but the healthy ingredients, like fresh vegetables, coconut, and jasmine rice, are better than a greasy burger from the local chippy.

The Laughing Heart

Although it is only open late on the weekends, this Hackney restaurant is excellent for those who want to impress their work colleagues or clients and bring them to a nice dinner. This restaurant tandem wine bar is one of the best late-night spots for those who want local and fresh ingredients, not just crunchy and fattening snacks. Bring your family or work colleagues here for a £49 tasting menu that contains high-end dishes like Quail to really knock your socks off.

We love this place for late-night date night food. With a vibe that looks like it is out of Eastern Europe, this gorgeous and intricate restaurant is not for the faint of heart when it comes to a budget — but the dim atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a movie, and the truffle sauce that is to die for, you will love this Soho spot open until 12am.

Last but not least, we have the Smoking Goat. Located in Shoreditch, one of the meccas for after-work drinks, cool vintage shops, and craft beers, Smoking Goat is open until 11pm — making it arguably the best spot in the neighborhood for tasty snacks, meals, and meat-laden dishes that will stop your stomach from rumbling. We recommend trying the aged beef sirloin with galangal relish, perfectly combining tangy Thai flavors with hearty British fare.
