1. Burj Khalifa

This is the most well-known landmark in Dubai. It is 829.8 meters tall making it one of the tallest building in the world. The observation deck on this building is on the 124th floor.

From this elevation, you will have beautiful panoramic views of the city’s skyline. At the observation deck, a multimedia presentation of the city and the building is played.

Views of the ocean the desert and the skyscrapers can be seen from the observation deck. It is even more popular at night with photographers who capture the famous city lights.

On the ground level, you can stroll through the beautifully designed gardens, check out the Dubai fountain famously known as the dancing fountain. It was modelled after the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.

2. Check out the Dubai Frame

The famous Dubai frame was designed to represent a symbolic connection between the old and new Dubai. It also happens to be the largest picture frame in the world.

This giant gold frame is 500 feet tall and has huge glass elevators that take visitors to the top. Once there, you will get panoramic views of the city. People with special needs and young children enter for free.

The walkways on the frame are made of clear glass and you can see the ground below. It is the perfect place to take those photos you would share on your social media pages.

3. IMG Worlds of Adventure

The IMG Worlds of Adventure is the perfect place to take your young ones. It is also a fun place for grown-ups too.

This fun place is in an air-conditioned hangar same size as 28 life-size football fields. It is the largest indoor theme park in Dubai and the word. It has more than 30 eateries.

There are more than 20 rides and several other attractions in this park. The park is divided into four themes namely Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard.

The themed parks have child-friendly rides based on popular cartoon characters such as The Powerpuff Girls and the Amazing Ride of Gumball, as well as a Ben 10 5D cinema and Lazy Town live show.

For those that seek more thrill, the marvel section is the place to go to. There are thunder Spin and dizzying top-spin ride.

4. Swim at Jumeirah Public Beach

Jumeirah beach is a short walking distance from the Burj Al Arab, it is without a doubt Dubai’s best strip of public beach.

The beach is loved by many that enjoy a dip in the calm turquoise water under the Dubai heat.

This beach is not only for swimmers but also for water sports lovers. There are public playgrounds for children picnic spaces and barbeque areas.

It gets crowded as the day proceeds, so going early would be a good idea. It is neat and clean with a white sandy beach.

There is also a park by the beach that charges an entrance fee. Bring drinking water and enough sunscreen.

5. Go Skiing in Dubai

You probably never thought of skiing while in Dubai. Well, there is a skiing slope in the middle of a mall in the desert. This is the world’s third-largest indoor ski slope.

This place attracts families with kids who enjoy different rides and penguin visits, most adults enjoy skiing.

6. Burj Al Arab

Dubai’s Burj Al Arab in Jumeirah is one of the most stunning buildings in the Middle East, suffice to say the entire world. It is a sail-shaped hotel building with a glass façade that speaks luxury.

The sky view bar at this hotel has one of the best lounging areas and an outdoor terrace. The 27th floor has another bar area that serves delicious cocktails with magnificent views of Dubai skyline.

The hotel overlooks the Persian Gulf and Jumeirah beach, you can see the palm island. It is located on its man-made island.

From the hotel, you can hire luxury cars like the Rolls-Royce, Bugatti or any other that you can name.

7. Tour Dubai Creek & Al Seef District

The Dubai Creek separates the city into two, Deira is to the north and Bur Dubai is to the south. This creek has contributed greatly to the growth of Dubai as a city.

At the creek’s bank, is the Dhow Wharfage close to Al-Maktoum bridge. Small traders cruise through the creek in small dhows some which are more than a century old.

The creek is always busy with traders loading and offloading cargo. Most of the dhows travel to countries like Kuwait, Iran, Oman and India.

On the Bur Dubai side of the creek, the waterfront has been renovated as the Al Seef district.

Its promenade is lined by traditional coral-block and limestone buildings, a floating market, and shops selling handmade crafts. It’s a great place for a stroll with excellent water views.

To get to the other side of the creek, you can either take one of the many dhows for tourist cruises or an abra which is a small wooden ferry, it shuttles between the ferry points on the creek’s Bur Dubai and Deira banks.

8. Deira

Deira is on the other side of Dubai creek towards the north. It is characterized by narrow snaking streets that is home to many nationalities.

The most famous location in Deira is the traditional markets knowns as souks. Shoppers flock this market all day strolling through the stalls.

Deira Gold Souk is famously known as the largest gold bazaar in the world. The other famous market is the Deira Spice Souk.

You will find every imaginable spice, there are bagsful of frankincense, cumin, paprika, saffron, sumac, thyme, fragrant oud wood, rose water, and incense. The fish market less touristy but a great place for fresh seafood.

9. Dubai Miracle Garden

When in Dubai, do check out the miracle garden for some zen vibes. This is the world’s largest flower garden that spans for more than 2,000 square metres.

Everything in this garden is covered in beautiful flowers from the English-style cottages to windmills and trucks.

You will also find a flower version of the Burj Khalifa.  It is the perfect place for easy strolls and taking beautiful photos.

10. Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

Lastly, one thing you cannot miss to do while in Dubai is embarking on a desert safari. It is the perfect getaway from the city to a quiet desert filled with dunes.

This is United Arab Emirate’s national park that occupies about 87 square miles of the Arabian desert. It serves as a research unit and therefore visitors need to have a guide.
