Top 10 Outstanding Facts about Billy Meier

Billy Meier was born on 3 February 1937. He is widely known as an artifice person since his teen years. In 1965, he lost his left arm in a bus accident in Turkey. Sometime later, he met and married a Greek woman, Kalliope Zafiriou, with whom he had three children.

During a 2017 art exhibit about conspiracies, many of Meier’s photographs were shown. Photography curator Gordon MacDonald commented on examinations from the 1970s that the photos weren’t doctored saying that Just because photographs are doesn’t mean they are of what the person says they’re off. Let’s go through the top 10 outstanding facts about Billy Meier.

1. He is the founding father of the UFO Religion

TOP 10 SENSATIONAL FACTS ABOUT MICHELLE HUNZIKER

A UFO religion is any religion in which the existence of extraterrestrial (ET) entities operating unidentified flying objects (UFOs) is an element of belief. Typically, adherents of such religions believe the ETs to be interested in the welfare of humanity which either already is, or eventually will become, part of a pre-existing ET civilization.

Other religions predate the UFO era of the mid-20th century but incorporate ETs into a more supernatural worldview in which the UFO occupants are more akin to angels than physical aliens, but this distinction may be blurred within the overall subculture.

2. Meier claims to be in regular contact with extraterrestrial beings

Extraterrestrial life, colloquially referred to as Alien life, is a life that may occur outside Earth and which did not originate on Earth. No extraterrestrial life has yet been conclusively detected, although efforts are underway.

Such life might range from simple forms like prokaryotes to intelligent beings, possibly bringing forth civilizations that might be far more advanced than humankind. Meier calls the extraterrestrial beings the Plejaren.

3. Meier claims to be the seventh reincarnation after six prophets

The six prophets that Meier claimed to have reincarnated with them as the seventh, are common to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The prophets’ names are as follows; Enoch, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Immanuel (Jesus), and Muhammad.

4. Meier has been widely characterized as a fraud

Meier presented other material during the 1970s such as metal samples, sound recordings, and film footage. This was to support his motion to the people that he was in regular contact with extraterrestrial beings he calls the Plejaren.

Skeptics and ufologists suggest that he used models to hoax photos claimed to show alien spacecraft. Meier’s prophecies repeatedly blame Jews whom he refers to as “gypsies” for future atrocities.

5. Billy’s teenhood was full of fraud

Meier left public schools before finishing 6th grade. In his teens, he was convicted multiple times of minor offenses. In 1953, he was convicted of thievery and forgery and sentenced to a prison term in Rheinau. However, he escaped from the facility and vanished out of Switzerland’s borders.

6. Meier joined the French Foreign Legion after breaking out of prison

The French Foreign Legion is a corps of the French Army with a specific command and comprising several specialties: infantry, cavalry, engineers, and airborne troops. It was created in 1831 to allow the incorporation of foreign nationals into the French Army.

It formed part of the Armée d’Afrique, the French Army’s units associated with France’s colonial project in Africa, until the end of the Algerian war in 1962.

After escaping from the facility, Meier illegally crossed the border and joined the French Foreign Legion. He went AWOL from the Legion to return home. Go AWOL means, absent without official leave but without intent to desert.

7. Who gave Meier the nickname “Billy”

The anecdote of the name Billy was told by Meier in an interview with Bob Zanotti of Swiss Radio International in June 1982. He said the nickname “Billy” came by way of an American friend who thought Meier’s cowboy style of dressing reminded her of Billy the Kid. That is why he decided to keep the nickname as part of his name.

8. At what age did Meier start his encounter with the Plejaren man?

Meier claims his extraterrestrial encounters began in 1942, at the age of five, when he met an elderly Plejaren man named “Sfath”. After Sfath died in 1953, Meier said, he began communicating with an extraterrestrial woman (though not a Plejaren) called “Asket”.

All contacts ceased in 1964, he said, then resumed on January 28, 1975, when he met “Semjase”, the granddaughter of Sfath, and shortly thereafter another Plejaren man called “Ptaah”. Other extraterrestrials have since allegedly joined the dialog as well.

9. Plajeran man permitted him to take photographs of their spaceships

Meier’s photographs and films are claimed by him to show alien spacecraft floating above the Swiss countryside. He calls the alleged spaceships “beam ships” from Plejaren.

According to Meier, the Plejaren gave him permission to photograph and film their beam ships so that he could produce evidence of their extraterrestrial visitations.

Some of Meier’s photos are claimed by him to show prehistoric Earth scenes, extraterrestrials, and celestial objects from an alleged non-Earthly vantage point. Meier’s claims are widely characterized as fraudulent by scientists, skeptics, and most ufologists, who say that his photographs and films are hoaxes.

10. Meier’s ex-wife exposed Meier’s fraudulent activities about the Plajeran man

In 1997, Meier’s ex-wife, Kalliope, told interviewers that his photos were of spaceship models he crafted with items like trash can lids, carpet tacks, and other household objects and that the stories he told of his adventures with the aliens were similarly fictitious.

She also said that photos of purported extraterrestrial women “Asket” and “Nera” were photos of Michelle DellaFave and Susan Lund, members of the singing and dancing troupe The Golddiggers. It was later confirmed that the women in the photographs were members of The Golddiggers performing on The Dean Martin Show.
