Allison Ramses Becker who is commonly known as Allison is a Brazilian professional footballer. He plays as a goal keeper for a premier league club Liverpool and the Brazil national team.

He was born  in 1992 in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul. His family paternal family is of German descent. Allison’s father and grandmother speak the language fluently. When he was in Roma his nickname was “The German”

His older brother Muriel is also a goalkeeper and was developed at internacional. Also his mother, father and grandfather have worked as goalkeeper. So he is not the only goalkeeper in the family.

Allison married Natalia Loewe in 2015. She is a doctor from Brazil. They have a daughter named Helena who was born in 2017.A son Matteo who also born in 2019. and their second son was born 2021.

He is Brazil’s first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Manchester city’s Ederson Moraes. Allison has represented Brazil at various youth before making his senior international debut in 2015.

He also represented the nation at the Copa America Centenario in 2016, the 2018 FIFA World cup and the 2019 and 2021 Copa America winning the 2019 tournament. He was named as the best goalkeeper.

2. He had began his career at Internacional at the age of 10

Allison started his career at internacional in 2002. S.C Internacional is a football club which plays in Brazil. H e made over 100 appearances and won the Campeonato Gaucho in each of his four seasons at the club.

Becker competed with a Brazilian legend Dida who had joined Internacional from Gremio. He earned a starting berth  with 11 league appearances to his name.

3. Liverpool bought Allison Becker with a world- record fee of €72.5 Million

In 2018 Liverpool had confirmed that signing of Allison for a fee €72.5 Million making him the most  expensive goalkeeper of all time. He surpassed the transfers of Ederson who was the most expensive in pound sterling. And Gianluigi Buffon who was also the most expensive in Euros. Though the fee was broken in just four week when Chelsea had signed with Kepa Arrizabalaga  that was reported £7.16 million which is €80million from Athletics Bilbao.

4. Allison has been an Ambassador of the World Health Organization

The goalkeeper, Allison who is a World Health Organization ( WHO)  goodwill ambassador for health promotion had a kickstarting new global fundraising campaign which is titled ” Give a Breath for Health”.

The first donation to the ” Give a Breath for Health ” was made by Allison. By contributing the supplies to locations in the Amazon and collaborated with the efforts of the Pan American Health Organization  (PAHO).

5. He won the 2018-19 UEFA champions League with Liverpool which was his first season

Allison made his official debut for Liverpool by keeping a clean sheet in 4-0 win over West Ham United. He received praises for his performances in wins over Crystal Palace and Brighton which saw him keep three consecutive clean sheets.

Becker was shortlisted for UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the season which he finished in the second place.

Alisson made his debut for Internacional at the age of 20. In 2013, he made his first appearance for his childhood club in 1-1 draw against Cruzeiro-RS in the Campeonato Gaùcho tournament.

Alisson made just six appearances in his first season for Internacional. The following season, his club signed legendary Brazilian goalkeeper and 2002 World Cup winner Dida from Gremio. Alisson spent most of that season as a second choice to the legend and made 11 appearances, but in the following season, he became the main man between the sticks for the Internacional and maintained that position till he left the club in 2016.

8. The Goalkeeper Allison is also a  Musician

Alisson is a footballer by profession and a musician by hobby. He  knows more than a thing or two about music and playing the guitar. There are videos of him singing and playing the guitar can be seen if you take a look at his Instagram profile.

Alisson loves music. The goalkeeper usually takes the instrument with him and has even made an appearance on a Brazilian talk show called ‘The Noite with Daniel Gentili’, where he performed for the audience.

9. He competed with the legend Veteran Dida  for starting place 

The goalkeeper was able to cement s a first-choice goalkeeper. Before that, he always had to compete with someone or the other to earn a spot in goal.

One such competition he faced was against former Brazilian international Dida. In 2014/15, the two-time UEFA Champions League winner had a stint with Internacional where Alisson was trying to establish himself as the number one.

10. Allison has been the first goalkeeper to win 3-Golden gloves

Alisson kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League with 21, despite the Reds losing out on the title to Manchester City. The Brazilian also kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Champions League.

That meant Alisson had collected two Golden Glove awards and that tally has now been increased to three at the Copa America. Brazil are yet to concede a goal in their five games, meaning that Alisson will scoop the accolade regardless of the result against Peru in the final.

As such, Alisson is now the first goalkeeper in football history to win three separate Golden Glove awards in a single season.
