Actor Osita Iheme, MFR was born in Nigeria on February 20, 1982. He and Chinedu Ikedieze costarred in the movie Aki na Ukwa, in which he is well known for playing Pawpaw.

 In order to inspire, motivate, and excite the brains of young Africans and Nigerians, Osita Iheme launched Inspired Movement Africa.

Iheme won the African Movie Academy Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.  He is one of Nigeria’s most well-known actors who helped establish Nollywood.

President Goodluck Jonathan awarded Osita Iheme the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011. Here are 10 facts about Osita Iheme.

A well-known Nollywood performer, Osita Iheme has built a successful acting career by taking on comic roles in motion pictures.

Osita, better known by his stage name Pawpaw, is a well-known television personality, motivational speaker, and actor who specializes in comedy

In his professional life, Osita Iheme frequently played the part of a child, a pattern that persisted into his adult years.

He became well-known in 2002 when he co-starred with Chinedu Ikedieze in the comedy Aki na Ukwa, in which he played Pawpaw.

2. He is from Mbaitoli in the Nigerian state of Imo

Osita Iheme was one of Augustine and Herbert Iheme’s five children when he was born in the state of Mbaitoli.

Although the actor comes from Mbaitoli, Imo State, he spent his early years in Abia, where he went on to complete his secondary education.

He eventually relocated to Lagos after being accepted to Lagos State University to study computer science.

The well-known Nollywood actor is renowned for having a petite physique that, during his early years in the film business, led to people mistaking him for a child.

But Osita Iheme is not a child; he is a mature adult who has reached the age of 40. He has dwarfism, a medical condition that accounts for his low stature and youthful features.

After attending both primary and secondary school, Paw Paw graduated. Later, he enrolled at Lagos State University to obtain an Art Bachelor’s Degree.

He was raised in Abia State, where he also received his MBA from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT).

He originally intended to pursue a career as a lawyer after finishing his studies at IMT, but in 1998 he decided to pursue his career in the cinema acting instead. At first, he appeared in small roles.

5. He is known to have earned very prestigious rewards

The actor varied roles as his reputation grew throughout Nigeria and beyond, his career is also known to have acquired a number of extremely significant awards.

At the 2007 African Magic Movie Awards, he received the Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Osita received the honor of joining the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) a few years later, in 2011. 

He received the coveted national honor from President Goodluck Jonathan for his unwavering efforts to develop the Nigerian film industry.

In 2014, he received an award for Best Actor in Nigeria at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

8. The well-known actor actually hails from a modest background

Although the well-known Nigerian actor currently leads a very opulent life, that has not always been the case for this young guy.

He truly hails from an extremely underprivileged family who had trouble feeding their family. In addition to Osita, his parents, Herbert and Augustine Iheme, had 4 other children, although little is known about his siblings.

The Osita family was in the same situation as the majority of people who actually go to different regions of Nigeria in search of greener pastures. Despite being from Mbaitoli, Imo state, they now call Abia state home.

Inspired Movement Africa, a significant nongovernmental organization, was founded by Osita Iheme.

He also owns a 2018 Toyota Harrier GR Sport, a Land Rover Discovery LR3, and a Honda NSX Sports. In 2020, Osita Iheme’s net worth is projected to be $3.6 million.
