 Pamela Anderson, a Canadian actress, activist, model, and author was born on 1 June 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada to Barry Anderson and Carol. Barry Anderson is a furnace repairman and Carol is a waitress.

At the ages of 7-12, she was an acrobat and gymnast. She attended Highland Secondary School in Comox, British Columbia.  She played volleyball while she was in high school. . She graduated in 1985 from Highland High school and moved to Vancouver where she worked as a fitness instructor. In the article are the top ten interesting facts about Pamela Anderson.

1. She was a victim of sexual assault

Pamela revealed publicly her sexual abuse as a child in 2014. She said that her first encounter was then from age 6 to 10 when her female babysitter molested her. At the age of 12, a 25-year-old man raped her. Lastly, her encounter which was unexpected was from her boyfriend and six of his friends gang-raped her when she was 14.

2. She was born on Canada’s Centennial Day

The Canadian Centennial was a yearlong celebration held on 1st July 1967 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. Commemorative coins were minted and were different from typical issues with animals on each. The Day was founded via the Constitution Act of 1867.

Pamela became a citizen of the United States by naturalization ( by legal means through a set of rules) in 2004. She also retained her Canadian Citizenship hence she practices dual citizenship.

Her aim in obtaining dual citizenship was to allow her the rights to democracy such as voting. She also was anticipating petitioning to bring her parents to the U.S so that she could take care of them when they were old. She also bought a beach home in Malibu, Canada.

Anderson has been married six times meaning five of her marriages failed. Tommy Lee, Dummer of Mötley Crüe ( an American heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1981) was her first husband. The two knew each other for only four days after which they wedded on a beach with Anderson in a white Bikini. 

Anderson and Tommy were blessed with two sons, Brandon Thomas- born on 5t June 1996, and Dylan Jagger- born on 29th December 1997. Lee was arrested for spousal abuse and sentenced to six months in Los Angeles County jail. In 1998 the couple divorced.

After the divorce in 1998, Anderson again was engaged to Marcus Schenkenberg, a Swedish model, actor, singer, writer, and television personality. The two broke up in 2001. Anderson then was engaged to Robert James Ritchie professionally known as Kid Rock, an American rapper songwriter, and singer. The two broke up in 2003.

On October 6, 2007, Anderson married Rick Salomon, an American Poker player famous for his 2004 sex tape with Paris Hilton. The two had applied for a marriage license earlier in Las Vegas. The couple separated on 13 December 2008 and on 22 February 2008, Andersonannulled the married citing fraud.

In March 2005, Pamela became MAC Cosmetics’ MAC AIDS Fund, which helped people infected with HIV/AIDS. She raised funds during events in Toronto, Tokyo, Duplin, and Athens. 

She also advocates for animal rights and is an active member of the animal protection organization PETA- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. In December 2015, she became a member of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society where she opposed the hunting of whales. She is a Vegetarian because she gave up on meat in her early teens after her father had hunted a deer and hung it.
