About the show
Champs Elysées. Invalides. In 30 minutes, slowly pace Majestic Paris at its best. In the footsteps of Napoleon and Louis the Sun-King. Grab your camera, and your best memories of Paris.
Stroll down the Champs Elysées. Paris’ most celebrated avenue.
De Gaulle – tall, somber – will meet you. His statue is a reminder of Allied Landing in Normandy and the Liberation of France in WWII. Landmarks nearby also honor FDR and Britain’s Winston Churchill.
Stay alert for Petit Palais – a great, overlooked gem. Petit Palas will be closed. Ask your host for a peeping Tom’s peak inside. The ceramics and the ceilings and the sculpture are so grand.
Next is the splendid Pont Alexandre III bridge, built to honor Russia and the Czar. Next to the elegant street lights, you can feel like a million Francs. And the Eiffel Tower will wave “bonjour” in the distance.
Ask your host to walk you down to the river. Make sure you hear the lapping of the River Seine. Photograph the house boats.
Make your way across the Alexander III – the favorite bridge of every fashion photo shoot. So dress right for the occasion!
Finally, greet the Sun King’s greatest Paris landmark – the Invalids. Also the tallest church of Paris, close to three times the Notre Dame!
