We had a wonderful and memorable experience thanks to the efforts of Chef Alessandri and the great group of fellow students. Chef Alessandri provides a real education into how to prepare dishes with an entertaining flare and sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day; shopping at the Campo de Fiori market, the preparation of the dishes, and, of course, eating the meal itself. A side treat was the walk from the market to Chef Alessandri’s establishment through a charming part of Trastevere that we had not seen before. We are hoping to be able to go to Chef Alessandri’s place in Umbria for another class during a future trip to Italy.
