About this tour
You will meet your guide in Rome for your train ride southwest of Rome to Ostia Antica, which lies near the coast. Your guide will provide you with train tickets to and from Rome. Upon arrival, you will explore the well-known archaeological site in Ostia Antica. These ruins date back to the 4th century BC. During your tour, you will come across structures such as the Collegiate Temple, the Forum of the Corporations, taverns, the amphitheater, and public baths.
The port city of Ancient Rome, Ostia was home to over 100,000 people. As you walk, your guide will tell you about life in the town. You will also see the Roman statues, the Baths of Neptune, as well as shops and apartments. At the end of the day, you will return to Rome by train.
