What's in our tour?

Paris and Luxury go hand in hand. Find out why – and enjoy it, too!

On this tour, your private guide takes you from Napoleon’s Column and Coco Chanel’s home, to Concorde Plaza and Champs Elysées, and then to the Paris Caviar House for a sampling of Caviar and Champagne.

This is a private tour – moving at your pace, according to your particular wishes and interests.

Your private guide then takes you to Paris’ caviar house – modern-style, for caviar and champagne. You have booked a private tasting. An English-speaking taster is standing by your side to help you savor and recognize the three different caviars that are served to you. Now that sturgeon poaching is 100% illegal, who makes good farm caviar? And why? Along with your caviar come chilled champagne and canapés.

Welcome to luxury – welcome to Paris.

Highlights

  • The Paris of beauty and luxury – jewelry and watches, perfume and leather goods, high-end hotels
  • Napoleon’s column, the Sun-King’s plaza, Concorde and Champs Elysées
  • Coco Chanel, César Ritz, Napoleon and Louis the Sun-King – the men and women behind it all
  • A private guide, in English, for a 90 minute private tour
  • Generous caviar and champagne private tasting, with a host

Where and when?

Our Paris Caviar and Champagne Private Tour is available every weekday, rain or shine, and lasts a relaxed 2h30. Not available Saturdays and Sundays. Closed on Dec. 24 & 25.

We meet at the 15, Place Vendôme, right outside the unique Ritz Hotel. The closest Metro stations are Tuileries (Line 1) and Pyramides (Line 7 and Line 14).

This walking tour lasts 90 minutes. In the end of the visit, your guide drops you off at Le Comptoir du Caviar, where a private tasting of caviar, champagne, blinis and tarama are just waiting for you.

Why take this tour?

Because ending a private visit of the iconic Right Bank with a Caviar and Champagne tasting is a very unique experience.

The perfect surprise for your romantic trip to Paris!

Your guide waits for you outside hotel Ritz. You find out how César Ritz, known as “king of hoteliers and hoteliers of kings”, invented luxury hotels. And how we live to enjoy his legacy to this day.

Your Paris Luxury tour then focuses on the Frenchman who invented the Restaurant as we know it, right where we now stand. What did Auguste Escoffier do – in the kitchen and in the dining room – that revolutionized dining forever? And how was his work also a liberating breakthrough for women?

The tour takes you to Napoleon and Louis the Sun-King. We pay tribute to these two great sponsors of luxury. How are jewelry and power so inter-connected?

Surrounding us are the world’s top luxury brands. Travel trunks cost €50,00, watches €100,000, and jewelry reaches the skies. Chanel, Dior, Van Cleef, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Goyard, why are so many luxury brands French?

Lady Diana was last seen alive right here, and Chanel lived here for 30+ years. Why? And how is Chanel’s work a direct reflection of this neighborhood?

More photo opportunities await as you reach place Concorde. Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Invalids, and the Eiffel Tower, lie before you in the distance. All at one glance.

Next we walk up rue royale – a masterpiece of proportions. With the Golden Number, architecture too has its standards for perfection.
