What's in our tour?
Bohemian Montmartre is where Parisians go for fun and celebrations. Bohemian Paris loves the Christmas holiday and Christmas lights.
Join us for this double treat: first a discovery of the village of Montmartre and the Christmas displays, then chilled champagne at Renoir’s old haunt.
Montmartre is the home of Moulin Rouge and all the cabarets. Montmartre knows how to celebrate Christmas. There are illuminations and street lights. The shop windows are aglow with Holiday decorations. Christmas food treats are everywhere in sight. Wild patisseries, gorgeous sea foods, and foie gras and Christmas foods are all on display.
After this tour, there will be champagne of course. Chilled. You will celebrate at the same bistro where Renoir, Picasso and Edith Piaf used to sit: picturesque and historic “la Bonne franquette”.
This Montmartre Champagne Tour will make you happy you are spending Christmas in Paris.
Our guide is a true born-and-raised Parisian who knows the best photo spots, the back stories, and the quiet vantage points for all the famous landmarks – Moulin Rouge, the homes of Van Gogh and Picasso, the church of the Sacred Heart etc.
Our tour also includes Montmartre’s picturesque hidden gems – e.g. the pink house, Dalida’s breasts (that’s right!), and the cabaret of the assassins.
The champagne will be kept chilled for you at La bonne franquette, the historical bistro of Montmartre.
This tour is in English, and we keep our groups small and intimate.

Where and when?
Rain or shine, only in the Christmas season:
Every day at 6pm (from December 1 until January 12). Closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 31 only.
We meet right outside metro station Blanche (line 2) at street level – at 80 boulevard Clichy.
The tour lasts a relaxed 80 to 90 minutes. We then go to bistro “à la bonne franquette” for champagne. After your drink, you are welcome to linger on for dinner. A taxi-stand is close by, and the closest metro stations are Anvers on metro line 2 and Abbesses on metro line 12.
Why take this tour?
For the Christmas displays and spirit of the village of Montmartre.
For the quality champagne awaiting at bistro la Bonne franquette.
Your guide will meet you outside metro station Blanche, in our distinctive pink vest.
Our first stop is also our first photo opp: the entrance to Moulin Rouge – possibly the world’s most famous cabaret?
Rue Lepic is a dramatic celebration of Christmas eating, with mad window displays and hard-to-believe food spreads.
Of course history and art are never far. We come across Picasso’s art studio, Van Gogh’s first home in Paris, and Renoir’s favorite windmill. We are treated to cool-looking cobblestone back streets and sweeping vistas over Paris.
Your guide provides context, takes you to easy-to-miss top spots, explains how Paris celebrates Christmas, helps with photos, and includes gems that stand away from the tourist path.
Please note that in order to see more, we do not spend time going inside buildings.
