Explore the charming Waterland district, 25 kilometres of green pastures, quaint waterways, picturesque old villages and much more. Book the countryside bike tour and cycle this gorgeous area of polder landscapes and farmlands below sea level. Ride your bike through the old fishermen’s villages of Durgerdam and learn about water management and how the Dutch manage to live below sea level. Holysloot, a tiny farmer’s village in the middle of the countryside is the halfway point where you will take a break at the love restaurant ‘het Schoolhuis’, in the former school of the village, their apple pie is to die for. At Krijtmolen d’Admiraal, the tour will pass by a gorgeous windmill from 1792 and learn about the old mill industry of Holland.
