Facts about Sightseeing in Paris

Paris isn’t complete without a visit to the Louvre. Among the former French Royal Palaces, the Louvre is one of the best symbols of French history and of the French Kings’ power. With the Louvre Pyramid in the middle of the Napoleon Court, its architectural style and its garden, you will fall in love with this place. Thanks to its geographic location, you will be able to admire the view it offers of the Tuileries, but also of the Concorde Plaza and the Champs Elysees.

Located on the Right Bank of the River Seine, this landmark has been partly destroyed, rebuilt and renovated many times.Although its construction lasted for approximately 800 years, it still remains the geographic, artistic and emotional heart of Paris. The Louvre became a museum during the French Revolution as the French National Assembly decided to eliminate any symbol of the monarchy.
