Paris for Kids & Families

Here are five amazing things to do in Paris for Kids & Families

1.) Family time in the parks and gardens of Paris

Paris is full of playgrounds and beautiful parks. Well-kept, these spaces are both pleasant to rest and to contemplate but also to have a stroll, to play and to have a good time with your family. We advise you to spend a part of your day in the Jardin d’Acclimatation (zoological park), which is full of exotic plants and animals or in the Tuileries just in order to enjoy the refreshing air in this Parisian park located between the Louvre and the Concorde Plaza.

Have a walk near the River Seine during an Evening River Tour: Thanks to this tour, you and your children will appreciate some of the key landmarks that tourist must visit during their Paris sightseeing. Indeed, Paris has inspired artists, movie directors, architects, which make the city beautiful and interesting. Enjoy this tour and discover the unknown Paris and the mysteries of this mythic city. From the police headquarters to the place where Sex and the City ended, discover the ideal Paris.

2.) After this walk, you may want to relax and take a Boat Cruise in Paris

The heart of Paris follows the River Seine which is one of the most beautiful symbols of the capital. Let this cruise show you some of the Paris’ most famous Landmarks.

3.) Workshops for children at the Louvre

“Art and history belong to everyone”: this motto fits particularly well with most of the attractions in Paris. Similarly, the most famous French museum has decided to organize workshops so that children would not feel excluded from the art’s world. Both children and their parents will be able to discover all its treasures and to build fun memories together.

4.) Have a tasty break and enjoy some traditional French cuisine

Paris is also about food and pleasure. Enjoy French (and Parisian) specialties, which will make you and your children learn more about the city, its history and about the Parisian way of life. Go to Ladurée and taste the fanciest Macaroons ever! Then, if you want to continue this tasting adventure, you can discover the secrets of French cooking in a fun Cooking Class.

5.) The “Jardin D’Acclimatation”

One of the best amusement parks in Paris, located in the south-west of the capital, in which children will never get bored. You will enjoy incontrovertible roller coasters (adapted for different ages, do not worry) and the must-do Exploradome, where your children will have fun doing science like never before. Moreover, once you run out of money and attraction tickets, you will always find free amusements for your “never-satisfied little monsters”!

Insider’s tips:

  • Remember you will walk a lot in Paris. Hence, expect your children to be tired at the end of the day… Mind your schedule!
  • Look at both sides of the streets when you cross as Parisians drive like mads.

Facts about Paris

One of the best things about Paris is that it is fundamentally small compared to the country it belongs to and to the other capital cities of the most powerful countries in the world. But if Paris is smaller it is also denser: full of landmarks, sightseeing spots and attractions so that you never get bored.

Thanks to its historical appearance and to all the entertainments offered in Paris, this place will please the entire family. From parents who can discover a magnificent city full of history to young adults who will enjoy both the Parisian nightlife and the Parisian shopping spots, through the children who will surely remember their trip thanks to this unique city’s playful environment.

I have spent all my childhood waiting for the time I would live in Paris. Indeed I’ve been in love with “the City of Lights” since I was born. That is why I wanted my own children to discover Paris and to love it. Today, I can assure you they know the city far better than I do! And this city is so interesting we can all have our favorite neighborhoods and present them to the people we love. Personally, I could spend my entire day in the Luxembourg Garden reading a book and watching over my children playing on the grass!
