While people aim at getting balanced diets from any sources, people who identify as vegans only consume food from plants and plant extracts. These include foods such as seeds, nuts, legumes, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Although faced with a lot of criticism from people who consume both plant-based and animal-based foods, veganism has a lot of benefits to one’s health.
Such benefits include reduced risk of chronic diseases, reduced glucose levels, and balanced body mass index, reduced blood pressure and blood cholesterol. These benefits are achieved as a result of the composition of plant-based foods as having low cholesterol and saturated fats and richness in antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and fiber.

In 2008 she announced that she had decided to go vegan. She is a big lover of animals and has always wanted to protect their rights. In 2008 when she decided to go vegan she substituted animal products with vegetables and plant food.
