2. The Patriot (2000)

The Patriot is a historical war film about a farmer who is drawn into the American Revolutionary War when his family is directly affected by British troops. This guy is haunted by his violent past as a soldier in the French and Indian War and desires a peaceful life. Unfortunately, he is reluctantly drawn into the conflict when his eldest son joins the Continental Army against the farmer’s wishes.  

The war reaches his doorstep, and tragedy strikes his family, prompting him to take up arms against the British. 

Benjamin became a key figure in the Southern theater of the war, leading a militia of local farmers and citizens in guerrilla warfare tactics against the more organized British forces. The film explores themes of family, sacrifice, and the high cost of freedom. 

3. All the President’s Men (1976)

Praised for its suspense and storytelling, All the President’s Men is a powerful and gripping political thriller film that chronicles the investigative journalism of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, and their role in uncovering the Watergate scandal that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

Top Gun is a classic action-drama movie that stars Tom Cruise as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a talented and daring fighter pilot attending the United States Navy’s elite fighter weapons school, commonly known as Top Gun.
