1.  Deuteronomy 31:6

The verse states, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” This is a verse that encourages us to find courage and strength through our faith in God. The phrase ‘Be strong and courageous‘ can be seen as a message that even in times of fear we are empowered by the Lord. Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us to not be afraid because God goes with us.

2. Joshua 1:9

It says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.“In this verse, God is instructing Joshua to embody strength and courage as he leads the Israelites. He also assures Joshua to not be afraid even when things get difficult. The verse reminds us that God is always with us just like he was with Joshua. 3. 2 Chronicles 20:15

The verse reads, “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Through the verse, Christians are taught that we should not cower in fear instead we should rise up with courage. We should not go into battle alone because it belongs to the Lord who is our strength. 2 Chronicles 20:15 shows that if we surrender ourselves to the Lord, we are able to triumph. At the end of the day, our victory belongs to the Lord.

4. Psalms 27:1

It says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Through this verse, we can see the Lord declared to be the source of light and salvation. The Psalm is about overcoming fear through faith in God’s illumination and protection amidst the uncertainties of life.

5. Psalms 27:14

The verse says, “Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Through this verse, we are encouraged to trust in God’s timing and have hope in His help. We are also taught that we are able to rely on God to find strength. However, if we trust in God’s plans for us, then we are able to overcome all sorts of challenges.

6. Psalms 28:7
