He appeared in several movies that helped him become well-known in the 1990s, including Spike Lee’s 1991 film Jungle Fever, Passenger 57, Demolition Man, and Rising Sun.

2. Billy Beane

Former major league baseball player and current front-office executive William Lamar Beane III is a reputable sportsperson in America. He is the executive vice president of baseball operations and a minority owner of the MLB’s Oakland Athletics. He is also a minority owner of the soccer teams Barnsley of the English EFL League One and AZ Alkmaar of the Dutch Eredivisie.

The Orlando native participated in Major League Baseball from 1984 to 1989 as an outfielder with the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, and Oakland Athletics.

Her main appearances as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series Gary Unmarried (2008–2010), Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series Big Little Lies (2017–2019), and Allie Pressman in the Netflix teenage drama series The Society (2019) have made her a favorite among cinema fanatics.

Howard was born in Orlando, Florida, to Peggy E. and Robert M. Howard, Jr., president of the Howard Fertilizer and Chemical Company.

American actor, singer, and novelist Jonathan Stevens Jackson hail from Orlando, Florida. His most well-known performance is as Lucky Spencer in the television soap opera General Hospital (1993–1999), for which he earned five Daytime Emmy Awards (2009–2011, 2015).

He is also well-known for his parts in the movies Riding the Bullet (2004), Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004), Tuck Everlasting (2002), and The Deep End of the Ocean (1999), as well as the television series Nashville (2012–2018), for which he was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award.

Howard Dwaine Dorough is a vocalist from the United States. He is a member of the Backstreet Boys, a popular pop band. Dorough was born on August 22, 1973, in Orlando, Florida, where he met his buddy and bandmate A.J. McLean during the Latin Carnival in 1989 through a mutual voice instructor.

His mother, Paula Flores-Dorough, is Puerto Rican, and his father, Hoke Dwaine Dorough, is Irish American and a police officer, former army soldier, real estate developer, and bank security.

Monty Kip Sopp, best known by his ring name Billy Gunn, is a professional wrestler from Orlando who is presently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a wrestler, coach, and manager of The Acclaimed. Gunn is most known for his work with the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) from 1993 to 2004, and again from 2012 to 2015.

He also worked as a trainer in NXT and as a coach on WWE’s Tough Enough. From 2005 until 2009, he was also a member of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

American retired professional football player Ha’Sean Treshon “Ha Ha” Clinton-Dix played safety for seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), predominantly with the Green Bay Packers.

He represented the Alabama Crimson Tide in college football, and the Packers picked him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Before briefly playing for the Las Vegas Raiders, he at some point played for the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins.

American drummer Joshua Ryan Freese is from Orlando, Florida. Freese has been a punk rock band member since 1989 with The Vandals, a new wave band Devo since 1996, and a rock band Foo Fighters member since 2023.

 He has a “pristine reputation as one of the most in-demand session drummers in the business” as a result of his heavy plan, and Vice has branded him “the blue-collar freelance drummer to the stars.”

American former football player Christopher Duan Johnson played professionally as a running back. Johnson, who grew up in Orlando, Florida, made his East Carolina University debut as a senior when he exploded for 2,960 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns.

He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft after setting a new record at the NFL Combine by finishing the 40-yard dash in 4.24 seconds.

17. Vanessa Hayden

American basketball player Vanessa Hayden played both in college and the WNBA. She played center for five seasons in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) in the 2000s. Hayden was born in Orlando, Florida. She played high school basketball for the Boone Braves while attending William R. Boone High School in Orlando.

Hayden played basketball professionally for the Minnesota Lynx and Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA after attending the University of Florida.

18. Darryl Dawkins

Darryl R. Dawkins was an American professional basketball player from Orlando. He was most remembered for his time spent with the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets of the National Basketball Association, while he also made sporadic appearances with the Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz in his latter years.

Because of his two backboard-shattering dunks in 1979, the NBA adopted breakaway rims. He was recognized for his thunderous dunks.

19. Jack Griffo

American actor Jack Davis Griffo is from Orlando. On the 2013–2018 Nickelodeon series The Thundermans, he played Max Thunderman. Along with the Netflix original series Alexa & Katie, Griffo also starred in the network’s original films The Thundermans Return, Jinxed, and Splitting Adam.

20. Shayla Worley

American artistic gymnast Shayla Worley is from Orlando. She competed for the United States on the team that won the gold medal at the 2007 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. At Orlando Metro Gymnastics, where she trained for most of her athletic career, she was coached by Jeff Wood and Christi Barineau. She competed at the University of Georgia, the 10-time NCAA champion in gymnastics, from 2009 to 2013.
