Jessica Nina Sklar was born in Oyster Bay, New York. Jessica is of Jewish background. Jessica is the middle child of three daughters. She grew up in a middle-class household in Burlington, Vermont.

He is best known for playing a semi-fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom Seinfeld, which he created and wrote with Larry David. 1. She graduated from the University of Vermont

It is among the oldest universities in the United States as it was the fifth institution of higher education established in the New England region of the U.S. northeast. It is listed as one of the original eight “Public Ivy” institutions in the United States. Also, it is classified among “R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity”.
Jessica graduated from the University of Vermont. Seinfeld worked in public relations for Golden Books Entertainment and Tommy Hilfiger. She is a popular American Cookbook Author and the wife of Celebrity Comedian Jerry Seinfield.

2. She founded Baby Buggy after her first delivery
Jessica studied at the University of Vermont where she graduated and then worked in public relations for Golden Books Entertainment and Tommy Hilfiger. She later founded Baby Buggy in 2001 following the birth of her first child.
Baby Buggy was used as a donation project for children’s products where people could give their baby`s products which they needed no more to those who needed them.
In July 2010, Baby Buggy launched a layette collection with Target Corporation, with 10% of sales going to help families in need. Later, in 2016 Baby Buggy was rebranded as the Good Plus Foundation. Baby Buggy, as a non-profit organization saw 20 million items donated to families across the United States.
3. Jessica has authored numerous books

In October 2010, Jessica released her first cookbook, Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food, which contains strategies and recipes for making nice food for children.
The book features recipes such as mac and cheese, spaghetti, and meatballs, which get a nutritional boost from vegetable purees.
Later in 2013, she released another cookbook, “100 recipes for the terrified! ” In 2017 she released her fourth cookbook, food swings then in 2021, Seinfield adopted a plant-based diet whereby she authored a book called Vegan.
4. Jessica faced a copyright scandal over “Deceptive Delicious”
Seinfeld’s first book ” Deceptively Delicious ” was published by HarperCollins on 7th January. Following its release, another author called Missy Chase Lapine sued the Seinfelds accusing Jessica of Copyright and trademark infringement.
Although Jessica denied the accusations saying that none of them had invented the idea of hiding fruits and vegetables in children’s meals.
5. Lapine accused Jessica’s husband of defamation

Lapine also accused Jerry Seinfeld of defamation (Jessica’s husband). This happened after he called her angry and hysterical on the Late Show with David Letterman and suggested that people with three names become assassins.
6. Jessica won the copyright accusations made by Missy Chase Lapine
In 2009, all claims against Jessica were dismissed as the federal judge ruled that no reasonable fact finder could finalize that any copying occurred and that the books were not the same in any way.
Lapine appealed but the dismissal was affirmed by the U.S Court of Appeals in 2010. Jerry Seinfeld’s accusations were also dismissed in 2011 by the state court.
7. She started dating immediately after her honeymoon
In her personal life, she married Eric Nederlander who was a theatrical producer and the son of theatre owner Robert Nederlander. A few months before the wedding, she met Jerry Seinfeld at a Reebok Sports Club.
Jessica began dating Seinfeld after returning from their honeymoon in Italy. Take note that the honeymoon was with Nederlander. Everything then was about to go down.
Nederlander filed a divorce in October 1998, only four months after marriage. Jessica and Seinfield became engaged in November 1999 then later married on December 25, 1999. George Wallace the Comedian was the best man at the wedding.
8. She was born in a working-class family
Although Jessica grew up in a middle-class household family, the family was working for a living. Her mother was a Victims Service Advocate for more than fifty years. Also, she was an attendance officer at Hunt Middle School. Her father was a computer software engineer.
9. She was criticized over her divorce from Nederlander

Jessica got a lot of criticism from Nederlander about their divorce and subsequent marriage which made the Seinfelds give a personal account of their relationship to Vogue in 2004.
Jessica says, “I met Jerry at the end of what was the most difficult period of my life. I had just made a painful decision to dissolve a five-year relationship that began when I was 21 and culminated in a brief marriage.
Jerry was neither the cause nor the effect of the breakup, but his friends gave me strength and resilience at a time of desperate need, and it has formed the basis of my happiness in the years that have followed. ”
10. All her babies are born in New York

Jessica Seinfeld’s three children were all born in New York City. Their daughter Sascha was born on 7th November 2000, their son Julian Kal on 1st March 2003 and Shepherd Kellen was born on August 22, 2005.
Her husband was quoted saying, ” If it wasn’t for Jess and the kids, I’d blow my brains out. Jessica saved my life. She gave me something to care about.
