1. Tony Parker

Tony Parker is a French-American former professional basketball player who played from 1999 to 2019. He began his basketball career with Paris Basket Racing in France before joining the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. The Spurs drafted him with the 28th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft, and he quickly became their starting point guard.

He won four NBA championships with the Spurs in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014. He also played for ASVEL Basket in France during the 2011 NBA lockout. He retired from the NBA after one season with the Charlotte Hornets.

Parker is one of the most successful European basketball players of all time. He is the fifth-leading passer and ninth-leading scorer in NBA playoff history. He was also selected for six NBA All-Star games, three All-NBA Second Teams, and one All-NBA Third Team. In 2007, he was named the NBA Finals MVP.

Parker is also a successful international player. He won the 2013 EuroBasket MVP award while competing for the French national team. He scored 19 points per game to finish as the tournament’s leading scorer. He set the record for the most points scored in the history of the EuroBasket competition in 2015, but that record was later broken by Paul Gasol.

Tony Parker is one of the most successful basketball players of all time. He has won four NBA championships, been named an NBA All-Star six times, and won the NBA Finals MVP award. He is also a successful international player, having won the EuroBasket MVP award in 2013.

2. Dominique Wilkins

Dominique Wilkins is a former American professional basketball player who spent most of his career with the National Basketball Association’s Atlanta Hawks. Wilkins was a nine-time NBA All-Star, a seven-time All-NBA Team member, and was dubbed “the Human Highlight Film” for his incredible slam dunking. During the 1985-86 season, Wilkins led the NBA in scoring.

Before retiring in 1999, Wilkins played for Panathinaikos Athens, where he won his first championships—the FIBA European League and the Greek Cup—as well as Fortitudo Bologna, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Orlando Magic.

3. Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman is a retired American professional basketball player. According to his profile on the official NBA website, he is “arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history.” He is well-known for his strong defensive and rebounding abilities.

He played for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Rodman started his career as a small forward before moving up to power forward.

He was chosen to the NBA All-Defensive First Team seven times, and he was twice awarded Defensive Player of the Year. He also set a record by leading the NBA in rebounds per game for seven consecutive years, and he won five NBA championships. 

4. Gail Goodrich

Gail Goodrich was instrumental in UCLA’s upset of Michigan in the NCAA championship game in 1965. During that game, he set a record with 42 points. The Los Angeles Lakers selected him as a territorial pick in 1965. During the 1971-72 season, he was a key figure in the Lakers’ 33-game winning streak, which was an NBA record at the time.

He guided the Lakers to their first championship since moving to Los Angeles. In 1996, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

5. David Thompson

Robinson emerges as one of the best centres of all time, capable on both ends of the floor. He averaged 3 blocks, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 21.1 points per game throughout his 14-year career. Furthermore, he had a free-throw shooting percentage of 73.6 per cent and a field-goal percentage of 51.8 per cent.

His talent and impact were recognized, and he was named to ten All-Star games. Robinson was also named Rookie of the Year in 1990 and Defensive Player of the Year in 1992. He was also named to the All-NBA squad 10 times, four of which he started.

Robinson was a defensive force to be reckoned with, as evidenced by his selection to eight All-NBA Defensive teams, four of which were first-team selections. Robinson’s services were especially important in the San Antonio Spurs’ two titles. His remarkable play earned him the 1994-95 season MVP title, underlining his effect on the floor.

6. Ben Wallace

Ben Wallace is a former professional basketball player who is now an executive. He played most of his career in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons. He is considered one of the greatest undrafted players in NBA history because of his shot-blocking, rebounding, and overall defensive play. He won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award four times, which is a record he shares with Dikembe Mutombo.

Wallace played for the Pistons for nine seasons (2000-2006, 2009-2012). During that time, he made two NBA Finals appearances (2004 and 2005) and won a championship with the team in 2004. The Pistons retired his jersey number 3 in 2016.

7. Bruce Bowen

Bruce Bowen was a professional basketball player who was known for his lockdown defence. He was elected to the NBA All-Defensive First and Second Teams eight times and was a member of the San Antonio Spurs teams that won the NBA championships in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

Bowen was a master of the art of defending the opposing team’s best scorers. He was known for his ability to stay in front of his man, his timing on steals, and his willingness to sacrifice his body to make a play. He was also a good shooter from the perimeter, which made him a difficult player to defend.

Bowen’s defensive prowess was a key part of the Spurs’ success during the 2000s. He helped to make the Spurs one of the most difficult teams to score against in the league. He was also a valuable member of the Spurs’ championship teams, and his contributions were essential to their success.

8. Mark Eaton

Mark Eaton was a professional basketball player who spent his entire career with the Utah Jazz. He was named an NBA All-Star in 1989, and he was twice voted the NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He was also a five-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team.

Eaton was a defensive specialist who was known for his shot-blocking ability. He led the league in blocks four times, and he holds the NBA single-season records for blocks (456) and blocked shots per game average (5.6). When he retired from playing in 1994, he ranked second in the NBA in career blocks behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

9. Chris Mullin

Chris Mullin, a former professional basketball player from the United States, played as a shooting guard and small forward in the NBA. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors as the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft. He played for the Warriors from 1985 to 1997 and for the Indiana Pacers from 1997 to 2000. He retired at the end of the 2000-2001 season.

Mullin was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 1990, the All-NBA Second Team in 1989 and 1991, and the All-NBA First Team in 1992.

10. Metta World Peace

Metta Sandiford-Artest is a former professional basketball player from the United States who played in the National Basketball Association for 19 seasons. He was selected in the first round of the 1999 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls, and he later played for five different NBA teams, earning a reputation as one of the league’s top defenders.

In 2004, he was chosen as an NBA All-Star and received All-NBA honours, and he also won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. He represented the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2010 NBA Finals, where they won the title.

11. Marc Gasol

Marc Gasol is a professional basketball player from Spain. He has been named to the NBA All-Star Game three times and the All-NBA Team three times. He was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. He was a member of the Toronto Raptors team that won the NBA Championship in 2019.

Gasol was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Toronto Raptors. He has represented Spain in international competitions since 2006. He has won two Olympic silver medals, two FIBA Basketball World Cup championships, two EuroBasket championships, two EuroBasket bronze medals, and one EuroBasket silver medal.

12. Paul George

Paul George is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has been named to the NBA All-Star Game eight times and the All-NBA Team six times. He has also been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team four times. George was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft.

He earned NBA All-Rookie Second Team honours in his first season. He was named the NBA Most Improved Player in 2013, and he was also named an All-Star for the first time that year. George missed most of the 2014–15 season due to a leg injury.

 He returned to the court in 2016, and he was named an All-Star again that year. He also won an Olympic gold medal with the United States national team in 2016.

George is a versatile player who can score, rebound, and defend at a high level. He is a two-time All-NBA First Team selection, and he is considered one of the best players in the NBA.

13. Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert is a French-born professional basketball player who currently plays centre for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. He competes for France in international competitions. He is regarded as one of the NBA’s top rim protectors.

Gobert is tied for third-most in NBA history in terms of the number of times he has been named Defensive Player of the Year. He has been named to the All-NBA Team four times, the All-Defensive First Team six times, and the NBA All-Star Team three times.

In addition, Gobert led the NBA in both blocks and rebounds during the 2016–17 and 2021–22 seasons, respectively. In 2017, Gobert was selected for the All-NBA Second Team, and in 2019, 2020, and 2021, he was selected for the All-NBA Third Team.

14. Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played one season of college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers before declaring for the 2011 NBA draft.

He was drafted 19th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats but was then traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He has also played for the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, and Los Angeles Clippers.

15. Jrue Holiday

Jrue Holiday is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft with the 17th overall pick.

Holiday played four seasons with the 76ers before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2013. He is a two-time NBA All-Star and five-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. In 2021, he helped lead the Milwaukee Bucks to an NBA championship and won a gold medal with the 2020 U.S. Olympic team.

16. Draymond Green

Draymond Green is a professional basketball player from the United States who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected 35th overall by the Warriors in the 2012 NBA draft and has been a vital contributor to the team’s success.

He is a four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-NBA Team member, and two-time Olympic gold medalist. He is well-known for his remarkable defensive abilities and is largely recognized as one of the league’s top defenders. He has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team eight times and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2017.

17. Khris Middleton

Middleton is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 39th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft but was traded to the Bucks in 2013.

He has since become a three-time NBA All-Star and helped lead the Bucks to their first NBA championship since 1971 in 2021. He also won a gold medal at the Olympics that same summer.

18. Domantas Sabonis

Domantas Sabonis is a Lithuanian-American professional basketball player who plays for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a three-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Team in 2023.

He is known for his versatility and ability to score, rebound, and pass. In 2023, he led the Kings to the third seed in the Western Conference and helped them break their NBA record 17-year playoff drought.

19. Julius Randle

Julius Randle is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 7th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He broke his right leg in his rookie season and missed the rest of the year.

After four seasons with the Lakers, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans and then joined the Knicks after one season. Randle has been named to the NBA All-Star team twice and the All-NBA Team twice. He was also awarded the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2021.

20. Nikola Vucevic

Nikola Vučević is a Montenegrin professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 16th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft and traded to the Orlando Magic before the 2012-13 season. He played for the Magic for nine seasons, earning two NBA All-Star selections. In 2020-21, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls.
