Is ‘Stranger Things Star’ Noah Schnapp Gay? Everything You Need To Know

Noah Cameron Schnapp is an American actor who rose to prominence for his role as Will Byers in the Netflix horror series known as Stranger Things. The young Netflix star was born on the 3^rd of October 2004 and began acting at the age of 8. He made his debut in the film Bridge of Spies which won the Academy Award in 2015. Will’s sexuality has been an open question from many of his fans since his first episode of ‘Stranger Things’.

The episode hinted at some instances where Wills was in love with his best friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard). However, when Wills was asked about the speculations he dodged the question and said that it was the audience’s interpretation. He added, “If it’s Will kind of just refusing to grow up and growing up slower than his friends, or if he is really gay.” The subject drew even more speculations and discussions in the third episode where Mike yelled at Wills saying, “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls!”  this was following a heated session.

As the episodes unfold and one story leads to the other, in season 4 it is now clear that Wills is gay and he is in love with Mike. It is the story of two friends who grows to more than just a friend, Wills falls in love which is now evident. In an interview with Variety, he was asked how he was able to navigate Will’s sexuality while he was figuring out his sexuality as well. He responded, “This isn’t just a single layer thing of he’s struggling with coming out. It’s this multifaceted trauma that goes years back because he was taken by the Demogorgon and then his friends, they never acknowledged him, and now he’s scared to come out and doesn’t know if they’ll accept him.”

The Stranger Things star confirmed to his fans that he is indeed gay in July 2023. He came out as gay on his social media in a TikTok video where he posted a video of himself Lip-syncing to a video sound where he shared his identity and family reactions. He said, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘We know” He added that he was more similar to Will than he ever thought.

He has expressed his struggles and fears about coming out as gay, however, fans have come out to congratulate him for his brave move. Some resonate with his struggles and one came out to say to him, ‘Wow, this Will character made me feel so good. And I related to it so much. That is exactly who I was when I was a kid.’

It is now 100% clear that Noah Schnapp is gay and he is leaving his truth. Netflix announced the release of Season 5 of Stranger Things and in this season, and he is hoping to come out clearly as gay in the scene. We can say without a shred of doubt that Noah Schapp is gay.
