When she indulged herself in the music industry, she was able to obtain exactly what she desired. Her debut album, released after inking a record deal with XL Recording, was successful enough to top the charts.
Adele acquired a record deal with XL Recordings in 2006, the year she received her art degree from the BRIT School. The UK top-five songs “Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love” came from her debut album, 19, which was released in 2008.
19 is among the top 20 best-selling debut albums of all time in the UK and has sold over 2.5 million copies there. The Grammy Award for Best New Artist went to Adele.

In 2015 and 2021, respectively, 25 and 30 became the best-selling albums globally, including in the US and the UK. All except one of her studio albums—album 19—had reached the top of the list of the year’s best-selling albums globally by the year 2023.
