First on my top 5 places to eat near the Champs Elysees is the Fouquet’s famous brasserie! Located in the corner that links both the avenue des Champs Elysees and the avenue George V, it is open since 1898. Fouquet’s menu offers the greatest traditional French cuisine.
Every year, since 1979, the restaurant hosts the gala dinner of the César Film Awards. This place has always played a very important role in the arts and cinema. Many important figures, such as Joséphine Baker, Sophia Loren, Alain Delon, Orson Welles, Catherine Deneuve, but also François Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard, used to frequently eat there.
Located at 99, avenue des Champs-Elysées, the Fouquet’s is open everyday from 7.30 am to 11.30 pm. The average price for a full intercourse meal is about 95 euros. For lunches and dinners, L’Alsace offers the best of eastern cuisine, with onion soup, flammekueche, quiches lorraines, Alsatian patés, grilled pigfoot, and sauerkraut. Its cuisine, decoration, traditions and service one-of-a-kind and one of the best examples of the Belle Époque!
