Top 5 Exhibitions in Paris for the summer 2017

The paintings come directly from the Bridgestone Museum of Art in Tokyo. You will be able to admire the works of artists such as Monet, Renoir, Caillebotte, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso, Pollock and Shiraga. This exhibition is a unique opportunity because in August these masterpieces are going back to Tokyo. Seize this chance and come admire the works of Impressionism and abstract painters.

The museum opens at 9 am and closes at 6 pm every day but on Tuesdays. You can get there through the metro station Concorde (on line 1, 2, 12) or by bus (24,42, 52, 72, 73, 84, 94).

Failed to get into the Fine Arts School: Portraits de Cézanne

Top 5 Exhibitions in Paris for the summer 2017 cezanne

From the 13th of June until the 24th of September, come take a closer look at Cézanne’s paintings and his aesthetic and thematic characteristics thanks to a chronological approach showing his evolution and change of style and method at the exhibition Portraits de Cézanne at the Orsay Museum (Orsay Montmartre Tour), the largest impressionist museum in the world. Cézanne was a self-taught artist, not very popular among his colleagues, he only got acknowledged for his true worth by the end of his life, and is now one of the most important figures in the History of Art.

Without Cézanne, there would not have been art movements like Cubism. The use of shapes and vibrant colours are what made his work so iconic and so inspiring for the artists who followed him.
