Offset is an American rapper who is officially referred to as Kiari Kendrell Cephus.  He well-known as a member of the rap group Migos, alongside his cousin Quavo and Quavo’s late nephew Takeoff.

He began dating fellow rapper Cardi B in 2017, and they married privately on September 20, 2017. Later on, they staged a public proposal at a live performance at Power 99’s Powerhouse in Philadelphia. Later that year, he was involved in a cheating scandal with groupie Celina Powell.  Both Card B and Offset have two kids after they  announced they were expecting their second child together on June 27, 2021.

1. He went to Military School

Offset, like his bandmates, excelled in school, particularly in football. Unfortunately, he couldn’t control his temper, which caused him a lot of trouble in high school. He was, however, sent to military school as a result of his uncontrollable temper.

2. He is a fashion Icon

Offset, considers himself to be a stylish man, with no intention to make any specific fashion statement, but being in the spotlight has led to him becoming a fashion icon. He and his bandmates are famous for wearing multiple elaborate gold and diamond chains. He is also well-known for his preference for black turtleneck shirts.

Offset announced his investment in the Esports organization FaZe Clan in August 2019. He commented on the investment  by stating that, “I love gaming and Esports is the future,” adding, “These two facts make it only right that I am a part of the largest Esports organization with some of the best players in the world.” He appeared in two FaZe Clan videos on YouTube.

4. He is a father of Four

Offset is well-known for his marriage to fellow rapper Cardi B, with whom he has a daughter. The couple married in September 2017, and Kulture Kiari Cephus was born in July 2018. In 2018, he collaborated with Travis Scott on Kodak Black’s single “Zeze,” which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart Offset released his debut solo studio album Father of 4 in 2019. Offset has released solo music and collaborated with a variety of artists in addition to his work with Migos. In June 2017, he worked alongside Drake on Metro Boomin’s single “No Complaints,” which peaked at number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100, and in September, he collaborated with Macklemore on the song “Willy Wonka,” from the album Gemini.  He eventually released Without Warning, a collaborative studio album with rapper 21 Savage and record producer Metro Boomin. The album was released on October 31, 2017, and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. It spawned Offset’s first solo platinum single and highest charting US Billboard Hot 100 entry as a lead artist to date, “Ric Flair Drip.”  He made his debut on February 22, 2019.

There’s no denying that celebrity interviews can be nerve-racking. Offset and his Migos bandmates have been feuding with rapper and broadcaster Joe Budden for a long time. This arose as a result of the group being interviewed by Budden alongside another artist. Budden dropped his microphone and left the interview when an altercation erupted. The feud erupted later when Migos made a disparaging remark about Joe Budden in one of their songs. As a result, the two sides of the debate engaged in a social media battle in which many other people became involved.

He also had a feud with Chris Brown and threatened to fight him in 2019.

10. He Was the Center of a Homophobic Scandal

Offset, like many other rappers, has attracted controversy with his song lyrics. He was reprimanded in January 2018 for a line in one of his songs that said, “I cannot vibe with queers.” This was interpreted as a homophobic remark, which enraged the LGBT community. Offset apologized for any offense he may have caused and stated that he does not associate the term “queers” with homosexuality. He explained that he used the term to describe people who are unusual or eccentric.
