Dress up for Carnival

Carnival is kind of a big deal in Lisbon! I always say that the Portuguese are the funniest and friendliest people one gets to meet. This happens to be true, especially during Carnival! This year it will happen on February, 13th. You will love to spend it in Lisbon, because you will laugh all day long. People get dressed as best as they can, and they rarely get unnoticed. They march all through the city to show off their costumes!

Take a one day trip to Sintra

Sintra is a magical city with a lot to see and to visit. You can go to Sintra by train, it only takes thirty to forty minutes to get there from the center of Lisbon! You can visit the famous and colourful Pena Palace – which is one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal, the Moors Castle, the Quinta da Regaleira, and many more amazing monuments. Also, the forest and the beach are not to be missed! They look like they are straight out of a fairytale. Sintra is an outstanding city. There is so much to see! It would be a shame not to seize the opportunity to visit it. And before you leave, have a taste at the traditional and delicious Queijadas from Sintra. Indeed, in Portugal, each municipality does have its own traditional desserts and are as tasty as one another.

You will get to see the enlightened landmarks of Lisbon while the sun either rises or sets. The company BYX offers great options. Their boat cruise lasts for two hours, and the drink is on them! This deal costs 69,90 euros for two persons. Also, during the summer, on the square in front of the Teatro São Carlos classical music concerts and perfomances happen. They are organized by the theater and they are free!
