Barcelona is a very lively city, things happen all the time! For example, the Tarantos Club, one of the best ones in town, offers Flamenco shows and concerts almost every night. The 25th Sara Flores will dance there at night, and you should she her! She’s good. Tarantos is in Plaça Reial, one of the biggest squares in Barcelona. It’s situated next to Las Ramblas and there’s plenty of life there especially at night. I recommend you to go and have diner at “Les 15 nits” or “Ocaña”, both with a lovely terrace, both a little bit expensive, but high quality.

What to hear in Barcelona in February

Another great thing to do in February if you love music will take place in BARTS. Barcelona will receive the visit of one of he most important rock musicians of all times! Bill Callahan will play in BARTS club, in the city center the 26th. He will present his last work, “Dream River”. If you go to this concert, don’t forget to have diner in “La confiteria” a lovely place next to the concert hall full of locals!

What to visit in Barcelona in February

Barcelona was one of the most important production centers of fashion in the second half of the 20th century. In February you can visit the exhibition “Barcelona prêt-a-porter, 1958-2008”. The exhibition is placed in Palau Robert in the top of Passeig de Gràcia. And you’ll get to see some of the designs that meant something in the history of Catalan fashion. This is fore sure one of the best things to do in February this year.

What to buy in Barcelona in February

One of the perfect plans to do in Barcelona on weekends is the second hand market. In February the 9th you can go to the Flea Market in Plaça Blanquerna where you’ll find everything you where looking for… but half priced!

Those are the specific best things to do that I’ve chosen for you for this February but there’s some thing to do in Barcelona all year long. So here’s two more suggestions… In Barcelona we’re quite cosmopolitans so we’re now very into the European concept of BRUNCH. One of the best places in town for brunch is the Raval Hotel. For 25€ you can eat as much as you want and the variety is just amazing.

And just before the brunch I recommend you to go to the Sant Anthony’s old book market. There you’ll find old stamps, old magazines, postcards from every single village in Catalunya and even Spain… posters of old and new movies and a lot of books, of course! This is a total Barcelona experience, believe, me. The Catalan children from all generations have gone there to exchange their colored prints with their parent’s help. Typical Catalan style.
