J’adore is one of the most famous Dior perfumes. It was created in 1999 and in 2013, it ranked 1st in the list of the most sold French Perfumes (replaced the following year by Lancôme’s La Vie est Belle).

J’adore is the floral perfume of Dior. It achieves a unique balance of surprising associations of floral scents, with notes of ylang-ylang, Damascene Turkish rose and jasmine.

Dior’s perfume creator François Demachy famously said that “J’adore invented a flower that does not exist”.

J’adore’s bottle is iconic and very recognizable with its amphora-like shape. It was created by jeweler Hervé van der Straeten.

Last but not least, J’adore is also carved into the popular mythology because of its famous TV adds featuring Charlize Theron, dressed in all gold, ever since she became the muse of the perfume 14 years ago.

Miss Dior is nothing but the oldest Dior perfume ever created. The perfume was composed by Christian Dior himself, who famously said that he “wanted to create Miss Dior to see all his dresses come out one by one from the bottle”.

Its famous composition contains notes of rose, tangerine, jasmine and patchouli. If you are looking for a soft, fresh yet obsessional scent, this perfume might be the one for you.

The bottle’s design is a tribute to Dior’s New Look silhouette, with very sharp cuts and proportions.

Poison is for those looking for a mesmerizing, heavy and intense perfume. The olfactory notes it contains speak for themselves: coriander, wild berries, orange honey and tuberose.

This perfume belongs to the family of the Oriental – powerful, intense, and mysterious. It is a very sensual and quite insolent scent that will leave a trail of boldness wherever you pass by.

The bottle of the perfume is round, and apple-shaped – an echo to the biblical myth of the forbidden fruit. You can see and smell that Poison has “temptation” written all over its name.

The perfume was created in 1985 and was an instant hit, so much that during the first weeks of its launching, one bottle was sold every minute at the Parisian Galeries Lafayette. Some perfumes become myth as soon as they are launched, and Poison belongs to one of these rare iconic scents.

What is more, the muse of the Poison Perfume was no one but Isabelle Adjani, one of the most fascinating and mesmerizing French actresses of the time.

The flagrance is so heady some restaurants started to hang out signs during the first year of its release, stating “No smoking, no Poison”.

Poison gave birth to a series of Dior perfumes: Tendre Poison, Hypnotic Poison, Pure Poison, Midnight Poison, Poison Girl.

It inspired several iconic perfumes from different brands, such as Lolita Lempicka’s Lolita Lempicka or Angel by Thierry Mugler.

Legend has it that as soon that he suggested his idea to Christian Dior, he answered that the perfume created by Roudnitska would be the next Dior perfume.

Diorissimo draws its inspiration from the lily of the valley, Christian Dior’s favorite flower.
