Three of the four Chinese-language movies feature Gong Li, a Chinese actress. Her birthday is December 31, 1965. Gong was raised in Jinan, Shandong, after being born in Shenyang, Liaoning. She enrolled at Beijing’s Central Academy of Drama, where she earned her degree in 1989.
She made her acting debut in Zhang Yimou’s Red Sorghum in 1987 after the director saw her while she was a student at the Academy. As they proceeded to work together on a number of critically acclaimed films, including the Oscar-nominated films Ju Dou (1990) and Raise the Red Lantern, Gong and Zhang’s professional and personal connection attracted significant media attention in the Chinese-speaking world (1991).
At the 1992 Venice Film Festival, Gong took home the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her performance in Zhang’s The Story of Qiu Ju.Gong li obtained her college diploma ( Central Academy of Drama). She started in 1985 and completed it in four years.
She was chosen by her school to perform children’s songs at Jinan People’s Broadcasting Station when she was two years old. She participated in the literary and art teams in high school.
Gong is one of eight children; she has four older siblings. Her father was a professor, and her mother was a teacher.

Her 14-year marriage to her husband came to an end on June 28th, 2010. There was no dispute or issue. They just parted ways, making it very evident that people can drift away and circumstances can change.
Regardless, they both kept their romances hidden for the remainder of their dating lives. She remarried to French musician Jean Michel Jarre in 2019.
She kept things quiet this time and only went public after getting married.
4.Actress Li shied away from Hollywood
Gong spent years avoiding Hollywood because she lacked confidence while speaking in English. She made her acting debut in the 2005 film Memoirs of a Geisha.
She received a lot of excellent feedback for her performance, and Times magazine even ran an article about her. She also appeared in “Miami Vice” and “Hannibal Rising” in the English language.

Jean-Michel Jarre, a well-known French musician, is her current spouse and is 17 years her senior. They were hardly ever spotted together in public. In 1996, they were wed in Hong Kong.
