10 Best Spas in San Francisco

Whether you’re looking for a last-minute pedicure, a punishing sports massage, or a day of pampering, choosing the right spa is serious business. From boutique sanctuaries to massive hotel spas, we’ve investigated them all in San Francisco.

Sheet masks and massage guns are great and all, but they don’t compare to an actual spa day. But every once in a while, you deserve to treat yourself—and when you do, you should go to a place that’s worth the cost of that matcha-soak-acupuncture-body-wrap, or whatever piques your interest.

In this article, we recommend the 10 best spas in San Francisco.

1. Kabuki Springs & Spa

Kabuki Springs & Spa is located at 1750 Geary Blvd, San Francisco. The relaxed day spa offers both familiar & Asian treatments, plus Japanese-style communal baths. Reservations are required and bookings are made via their website. Kabuki Springs & Spa is open Tuesdays from 12 pm to 8 pm and Wednesdays to Sundays, between 10 am to 9:30 pm.

Kabuki is beloved for its Japanese-style communal baths and dry sauna with salt scrub, but with COVID, it’s worth splurging on private treatment. With the Bliss Massage package, you’ll get to experience a traditional deep Japanese furo tub, where you’ll soak in a signature blend of detoxifying matcha and sea salt, followed by your choice of Eastern or Western full-body massage.

2. SenSpa

The spa’s steam room, jacuzzi, and showers are also open, and the meditation pool is available to hotel guests with spa treatments.
