Nightlife in Prague: Best Spots, Bars, Clubs, and Places

Prague is not only famous for its historical buildings, infamous castle complex, picturesque Charles Bridge, and busy old Town Square. No, there is much more to Prague suitable for young couples, hen parties, friends’ weekends away, and solo travelers who want to get to know people in a clubby and dive-bar-setting.

But where should you go for your big night out? If you are only visiting Prague for just one or two nights during your upcoming mini holiday, you want to make sure you don’t waste a full evening going to a bar that requires an expansive cover, has lame tunes, and expensive drinks.

Forte for tourists, this is few and far between in Prague. Prague is known for its inexpensive drinks — think a beer for under $2! — low cover prices, bumping dance tunes, and friendly locals who are great to party with all night long. Let’s see the best spot, bars, clubs, and hangout places to head to for either a weeknight evening or a weekend night out!

If you want to learn more about the infamous city of Prague with an inexpensive point and a few friends, head here. If you can’t seem to figure out how to pronounce this name, don’t worry — it is commonly known as ‘The Golden Tiger,’ making it easy for locals and tourists alike to find this divvy hangout spot. Although it is located right in the heart and city center of the tourist hubbub, making the beer just a tad bit pricier than you would find in other neighborhoods, the cool decor, dimly lit interior, and Czech vibe is perfect for a weekend or weeknight out on the town.

For those who want to dance the night away and listen to some rave and electric hits, head to the Klub 007 Strahov. Known as one of the best clubs in the city, this dingy — but eclectic and eclectic — club is ideal for those who want to get outside of the tourist traps.

Would you consider yourself an artsy type? Do you like paintings, music, artwork, celebrations, performances, and concerts? If so, this is the place for you. Doubling as both a gallery and a theater, this expansive venue can mask itself as a concept spot during the late weekend nights. With tons of events, musical concerts, and club nights, we love this spot for almost any day of the week.

Malkovich

Sometimes you just need a strong and tasty cocktail. Maybe you are tired of having the light Pilsner Urquell beer that the Czech Republic is famous for (although we doubt it). No matter the raisin, Malkovich is THE hot spot to come for tasty and well-made cocktails that will keep you energized all night long. With a living room vibe that makes it seem like you’re hanging out at a family friend’s house before heading out on the town, you will love the low prices, friendly people, homely decor, and exciting atmosphere.

If you have looked up ‘nightclub’ before in Prague, Roxy is sure to come up on the list. A staple in the bar, pub, and club community, Roxy is almost a shoo-in for an exciting and brilliant night out. With cheap drinks, an energetic vibe that is hard to match, bright lights, live music, big speakers, and a great location, Roxy is the perfect spot to head for those we only have a night or two in Prague.

Located just off of Wenceslas square, we highly recommend heading here after getting a bite to eat and a pint in the nearby area. One of Prague’s biggest and most popular clubs, the location and the ambiance make this a constant staple for locals and tourists alike who are looking to find themed-music nights and relive their 1980s time out on the town!

Along with the clubbing nights, sometimes you just want to have a few pints of beer and hang out with your friends to chat about your trip. If this is the case, head to Pivo, a park in the Vinohrady and Zizkov neighborhoods, grab cheap beer, gnash on a tasty hot dog, and sit outside in the beer garden. Really, what is better during a warm summer night in the capital city? Insider tip – if you love craft beer, THIS is the place to go!

For a unique and exciting weeknight experience, we recommend trying out Kasarna Karlin. Not only are there interesting conceptual ideas going on almost every single night, but the outdoor space is unmatched. Do you want to hang out on beach chairs, kick your feet up on some wooden boxes, gaze at the views, watch an outdoor movie, and hang out with friends? If you love the idea of hanging out in someone’s expansive backyard with a relaxed vibe, this is the spot for you.
