Prague is a buzzing city, with incredible architecture, friendly people, cheap drinks, and endless options for fun. Now think of one weekend where you want to let loose, spend some time with your closest friends, and not worry about anything.

Most people would think of their bachelor or bachelorette party, a few days where your best pals come together for one epic weekend of crazy decisions before the married life takes over. You might think staying in your retrospective country would suffice for a pre-wedding weekend – you thought wrong.

Prague will help you and your friends create a time you’ll never forget. The sightseeing options, traditional food restaurants, outdoor activities, ample parks, buzzing pubs, and all-night music venues make this a top-rate choice for one last chance at freedom. Round up your best friends, buy some plane tickets, and get ready to head to the Czech capital for an unforgettable bachelorette party.

Prague has different neighborhoods and areas, all with their own characteristics, charm, and unique vibe. One popular spot which most tourists flock to is Old Town, complete with the Old Town Square and famous Astronomical Clock that chimes on every hour. The square is always busy, with tourists bustling in and out, snapping some photos, sitting in the outdoor restaurants, and enjoying beers while people-watching.

The Charles Bridge is in sight, ‘bridging’ the gap between the two sides of the city over the flowing Vltava river. There are numerous traditional restaurants in Old Town, Czech souvenir shops, and historical charm. Unfortunately, the prices reflect the high level of tourism, with accommodations and other amenities being much higher than other areas of the city.

However, if you want to be in the midst of the historical sector without having to walk too far to any sights or attractions, this is a good central spot to choose. If you’d rather be a little farther away, choose the Lesser Town, on the other side of the river. In an affluent area near Prague Castle, this neighborhood combines some historical buildings with a little less crowds.

If you want to be near the Old Town without the masses of tourists, try to stay in a place in Vinohrady, the gay-neighborhood known for being trendy, a little quieter than the Old Town center, and close by to all of the known sights.

You’ve found a place to stay that is good for all your friends. Plenty of bedrooms, central location, and doesn’t break the bank – your wedding budget already did that. Now – what’s next? You need to figure out some activities to keep your friends entertained. Let’s do something active before you all decide to enjoy one-too-many beers.

1. Enjoy a Bachelorette Photoshoot in the picturesque city of Prague

There are various companies to choose from when wanting to capture your special time in the Czech capital, but we recommend checking out Fantastic Photos.

The photographer provides a private shoot for you and your friends with the famous landmarks in the background. You can stand on the Charles Bridge with the Prague Castle in the background, creating a memory that you can remember for years to come. The photographers and the pictures are professional and high-quality, making a great Instagram post or photo album addition.

2. Cruise down the Vltava river on a paddleboard, tour boat, or party boat

If you are in the city during the warmer weather, try stand-up paddleboarding down the flowing river, getting a little bit of exercise in while enjoying the shining sun. If you’d rather chill out while taking in a different view of the city, various boat tours let you sit inside a glass-wall boat that glides down the river, while an experienced guide provides some historical information about Prague.

If you’d rather get the party started on the water, you can book Boat Party Prague. You won’t regret it. Beginning at 8pm at the exclusive Boat Party Bar, you can enjoy some drinks before heading out to the water. There’s various games available to play here, like the ever-popular college frat game of beer pong, and you can mingle with your fellow passengers.

At around 11pm you’ll begin the boat journey, heading down the Vltava and taking in the bright lights of the city all around you. You can take in the sights on the open rooftops or stay inside and jam to the DJ’s beats. At 1am, the boat docks again – but don’t worry, the party keeps going.

This deal is one of the best in the city – you receive free entry to some of the city’s best clubs, like the Roxy, and can dance and drink until the sun comes up. For a full night of dancing, drinking, meeting new people, and learning maybe just a little bit about the city surrounding you, check out Boat Party Prague.

3. Beer Bike

If you want to do a day-time activity before heading out for the night, check out this genius idea – manually propelling a bicycle bar while drinking beer. Amazing. The tours are led by English speaking guides, who will show you the best sights of the city while keeping the atmosphere fun and the spirits high.

The tour lasts at least 90 minutes, and will take you around the Old Town, great pubs, clubs, and traditional Czech restaurants. If you want a theme, just ask. We recommend asking for a pub theme – it is a bachelorette party after all. The guide will know the best spots for local Pilsner, and can steer your portable bar in the right direction.

The bike contraption is configured for up to 15 people, so you can just about squeeze in all your friends (if you’re super popular, that is). Have a theme song that perfectly describes you and your friends? Bring your phone, open Spotify, and you can blast your own music while cruising the streets of Prague.

If you want to take a tour in the dark, the bikes are fitted with party lights – to make it feel as if you’re pedaling through a dance club. Here’s the best part – every tour gets an unlimited keg of Pilsner. That is worth any price in our book. Not only do you get to see the sights of the city, you’ll be able to enjoy as much beer as you want, won’t have to worry about the steering due to the sober guide, and you can laugh and sing with your friends through the busy streets, while locals gaze at the spectacle before them.

4. Ice Bar Prague

Want to freeze while enjoying an ice-cold beer? You’ve come to the right place. And don’t worry, you won’t’ actually freeze. The Ice Bar provides you with Eskimo-like puffy jackets to make you feel as if you’re living in an igloo. Located in the largest music club in central Europe, this is the place to party.

If you come to this venue in the evening, you’ll be lucky enough to enjoy the most popular music club in the country. Try one of the strong ice-cold cocktails, or extra-cold Heineken. If you come during the daytime, you and your friends will enjoy the 30-minute, beer-sipping, teeth-chattering time, laughing about how strange you all look in the reflective silver jackets and thermal gloves.

Open from 12pm – 5am everyday, this is a great spot for day or night.

5. Talk (or more…?) with a male stripper while riding in a limo

I mean, this really is your last chance to be single, so why not live it up? Also, your single girlfriends deserve some fun. Travel around the city in style with a Hummer Limousine, complete with two bottles of champagne – oh, and a male stripper. How could we forget?

The stripper will not only make you insanely jealous of whatever workout routine he follows, but he’ll perform a 20-minute show during your drive through Prague. Good luck trying to focus on looking out the window at the beautiful sights – you already have one right in front of you.

You can bring your own music to really set the mood for your friends and your new ‘friend’ – we recommend “Pony” by Ginuwine. Trust us on this one. The maximum amount of people in the limo is 16, so don’t invite anyone else on your bachelorette. No one is going to want to sit this one out.

6. Head to a nightclub

After your Beer Bike tour or stripper-limousine-adventure, head to one of the energetic clubs for an all-night party. We recommend checking out one of the city’s live music bars, with Prague having an extensive music scene featuring a wide range from local artists, to jazz, to techno.

First up, head to the Roxy. This vibrant club gives off a relaxed feeling due to the warehouse-vibe and chilled-out setting. The big dance floor gives space for everyone to dance, and the venue has live music almost every night, ranging from rock to dance music. Try to hit up one of the Free Mondays for live music without a cover charge.

If you’re more in the mood for something a little more relaxed while trying to sober up before a club, then head to one of the best jazz bars around at Reduta. Right in the city center on Narodni street, this spot is ideally situated close to the National Theatre for easy-finding.

Regardless of what location you choose, the vibes will be positive, the energy will always be high, and the love of the music will create a buzzing atmosphere. Enjoy listening to some live music and dance the night away with your friends.

Pack your bags, kiss your partner-to-be goodbye, and round up your best friends. You’re headed to Prague…

Prague is home to unlimited attractions to keep you entertained, keep you drinking, and keep you happy. The beer here is extremely cheap, costing you about $2 for a Pilsner. The people here are friendly, helping you with the best sights to see and the best places to go.

The restaurants are inexpensive, and produce high-quality food at a low price, making you want to eat beef goulash every meal for the rest of your life. The architecture is visually stunning, and awakens your curiosity about the Czech history and culture.

The pubs are buzzing with energy, with locals and tourists frequenting the same watering-holes. The clubs are always busy, beat-thumping, and heart-pounding. You won’t regret choosing this vibrant city for your special weekend.
