15 Best Nightlife Places in Prague

JohnCayne

If you are a solo traveler who is just out of college, chances are you are traveling around Europe to party, meet other people, and drink. Even if you are an older person who is traveling with friends, family, or your partner, everyone wants to go out every now and then (or every night, we don’t judge). Finding the best clubs, bars, pubs, and nighttime events is key when it comes to traveling, as this is one of the best ways you can make memories, meet new people, and see how the city comes alive after dark.

Prague is arguably one of the best cities in Europe, and the entire world, for nightlife. You can roam around the safe streets and pedestrian areas to check out the incredible views once it gets dark over the Vltava River, head to one of the underground clubs, and sip on some extremely cheap beer in one of the corner pubs. What more could you want?

Let’s check out the best nightlife places in Prague for you to turn up, let loose, and have a night you will never forget (hopefully).

If you head out pretty early, then we recommend heading to this beer garden to catch the sunset before you head out into the town. This expansive beer garden has plenty of tables, great views of the city, and good vibes. This casual spot is one of the best places to start the night before it gets rowdy.

Another great outdoor spot to hit before you really go out on the town is the Stalin Bar at Letna Park. We love this spot for a casual and laid-back beer before meandering down the path to the nearby Old Town. You will get great views of the surrounding area and chat with friendly locals in this picturesque park.

Are you staying at a hostel during your time in Prague? We don’t blame you! Prague is known for its upbeat, safe, and modern hostels that make it easy for you to meet people, party at all hours of the night, and still get a great night of sleep. Head to James Dean if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay and somewhere that you can party with people from all over the world.

For those who want to head out into the crowded city, we recommend going to U Sudu. Go underground to meet the locals, have a few beers, and get the party started.

After being out for a few hours, Chapeau Rouge is THE place to go. Head here to listen to some live music, dance the night away, and listen to some local Czech DJs get everyone to their feet. This club is not one for the faint of heart, so head here to dance with anyone and everyone.

If you head here sober, you might feel like you have just walked into an alternate reality. Head over after a few beers to get on everyone’s level, dance with strangers, and have a good time. This place is a crazy party spot, so make sure you are safe and head here with friends.

Music Club Zlaty Strom

This hip spot between Old Town and Charles Bridge is a fun place to head with people you just met and share a few drinks. We like the numerous dance floors, easy access, and cool nooks and crannies that can still make it easy to chat with people you just met.

Lucerna

This always tops the list of the best nighttime places to go in Prague — and for a good reason! This spot plays weird music, has a huge dance floor, and is easy to walk to from Wenceslas Square. You are guaranteed a good time if you come here during your vacation in Prague.

Karlovy Lazne

If you are a club rat, then head here. This 5-story building is a massive club that is perfect for those who like different styles of music and don’t mind spending a lot on drinks.

If you are looking for something that is not up the traditional alley of clubs or pubs, then come here. But be ready. This club is more reminiscent of something you would see in the debaucherous city of Berlin instead of Prague, featuring intense electronic music, interesting people, and a “unique” vibe that is something you need to see to believe.

Cool off and get a chill drink at the Ice Pub to bring down your body temperature from one of the nearby clubs and continue drinking!

U Zlateho Tygra

Instead of just going to the same old clubs and dancing the night away, head to this more refined spot for a dark interior, cozy booths, and great craft beer that is always poured to perfection.

Hemingway Bar

For those who actually want to have a conversation on a night out or are going on a date with their partner, head to Hemingway Bar in Prague to enjoy some of the best cocktails in the entire city.

MeetFactory

Creatives, artists, singers, musicians, and everyone with a little bit of flair inside of them will love this unique experience. This party spot is combined with a market and art gallery for a unique spin on a typical dance club.

Klub 007 Strahov

Dance club

This club has been a mainstay in the city since the late 1960s and has stayed popular ever since. We love coming here and saying we went to the most iconic club in the city and partied in the dark, dim, and dingy underground rooms.
