Old Town Square is arguably the most picturesque spot in all of the city. Although the Charles Bridge viewpoint and the Vltava River give a good run for its money, the Old Town Square in Prague features a massive historic church, large astronomical clock, outdoor restaurants, and tons of tourists who will give you plenty of things or people-watch.

The Astronomical Clock is a specimen in itself. When you are walking around the Old Town Square, checking out the local shops, sipping on some Pilsner Urquell in the sunlight, and speaking with locals, you may be lucky enough to hear the clock chime. Better yet, make sure you schedule one of your action-packed days with checking out the inside and outside of the beautiful — and working! — clock. First built in the 15th century and going through numerous repairs throughout its lifetime, it is often considered the best-preserved clock in the world. 

Walk across Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge is the structure that connects the Prague Castle=-side of the city to the Old Town of Prague. With lanterns on each side, street performers dotting the sides of the bridge, and artists who paint beautiful pictures and make crafty trinkets, exploring Charles BRidge is much more than just a mode of transportation across the Vltava River. 

First commissioned in 1357 by Charles IV, details and statues were added as the bridge aged over time, taking on the shape and exterior that it has today.

The Jewish people are a massive part of the history of Prague. With an interesting, sad, and passionate history in the capital city of Prague, the Old Jewish Quarter and the Jewish Cemetery are two vital pieces of the puzzle that you must check out during your next trip to Prague.
