The Must See DJs in Paris

Paris is a fantastic European city in which to hunt down your favorite DJs, especially in the summer season when they tour the biggest cities and play at the most renowned venues.

Here is where you should go to find the best lineups and top DJs sets while in Paris.

Rex Club in Paris

Rex is considered to be one of the best clubs in the world for electronic music lovers. It’s situated in the 2nd arrondissement, and doors only open just before midnight each evening.

The biggest names in electronic music will carry patrons through until the early hours of the morning, until guests are crawling out of the club looking for coffee and kebabs in the surrounding streets.

5 Most Luxurious Paris Nightclubs

One should always keep in mind that, with clubs of this size and stature, security and protocols are often going to be complicated and unappealing at best. Reading online reviews is likely to leave a bad taste in your mouth when it comes to Rex. For the most part, if you show up properly dressed, not inebriated, and with a valid event ticket in hand, you’ll be met with open arms.

Sierra Neon in Paris

Be prepared for this one, folks. Sierra Neon is situated in the outlying suburbs of Paris, in a local area known as Saint Denis. It’s one of the most talked about queer-music venues in Europe, and it attracts queer DJs from far and wide to their yearly bill.

The production at Sierra Neon is endlessly impressive, and all credit goes to the promoters BNK and the La Toilette techno collective. Extravagance is encouraged, dress to impress! The lineups mostly indulge electronic music from Europe and the world.

Security at Sierra Neon is, understandably, very tight. Don’t come here to play around, especially if your get up includes dangerous looking props. Whips, batons and the likes will not be permitted inside until queer people are safe to roam the Earth like everyone else…

Badaboum in Paris

There’s no better place to party and uncover phenomenal DJs than this lair in the heart of Bastille. It may look like just a simple cocktail den at first glance, but this is actually a place to get your dance on 5 nights a week!

From major indie rock DJs to disco and house, there are no complaints from any who come for a boogie! More than this, the state of the art sound system and lighting display make this one of the most memorable dance venues in the area.

Top 5 Places to Party in Paris

Again, you’re going to find a lot of people trying to get inside. Your behavior in the queue is going to matter, and the bouncers watch every move unfortunately. Anyone who looks as though they’ve had enough to drink for one evening is not going to be let inside — along with anyone who appears to be friends with them.

It’s a rough system, but it’s how late-opening Parisian clubs ensure maximum profit; there is little point in filling a 400 capacity space with people who aren’t going to spend money, because they already had their fill elsewhere. Come sober, basically.

La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris

A club where, no doubt, its reputation precedes itself. Back in the 90s, there was no greater place to party in Paris, and the walls of la Machine have seen and heard things that history itself wouldn’t care to repeat.

That said, in 2010, the space was transformed into a 3 floor mega-club where all-nighters are the order of events. You’ll want to get into the queue early on if you want any chance of getting inside — people start queuing as early as 10pm, despite the club itself only opening around 11:30.

Top 10 Historical Facts About the Moulin Rouge

Be open minded, be willing to get festive, and don’t take the space (or yourself) too seriously. If the Moulin Rough represents anything it’s the freedom to express oneself, and to indulge, indulge, indulge.

It probably goes without saying that it’s pricy to party here. It’s around €20 to enter, depending on the event of the evening and who is playing. This doesn’t include any drinks…
